I was wondering if anyone ever tested this set-up:
Magicka Nightblade (PVE dps)
Scathing mage proccing at the front
Mechanical Acuity proccing at the back
2 piece Skoria
No VMA weapon
Do you think it would work?

No why? Mechanical Acuity would proc at the back, making all of your attacks Crit. Then you switch to Scathing Mage that increases your spell damage by 500 on direct crit damage. But I get the feeling that it would be too inconsistent..The Gaming Rev

hydrocynus✭✭✭✭✭On NB I tried it with 5 scathing (jewels + 2 body pieces) and 5 acuity with acuity staff on front bar and maelstrom staff on back and 1 pcs molag kena but didn't get better results than i did with 5 acuity 4 aether 2 skoria And maelstrom back bar
I am not great DPS but could see better results with my old setup.My internet is invalid0 -

It gets too inconsistent indeed.
Scathing mage has a proctime of 6s and a cooldown of 6s. But acuity has a uptime of 5s and a cooldown of 18s.
Youd prob get a more consisten uptime when youd use mothers sorrow for massive kritratios all the time.
Other options would br Julianos +BSW + Valkyn withs vma flamestaff on the backbar.
BSW can be frontbared with next patch, so you can have a 5/5/2/1 setup then.PC EU
