4th Jubilee Cake is actually 3rd Jubilee Cake

Its not hard to calculate the anniversary...

Pc years divided by console years times the number of 7 sided dice in my pocket

Except it's actually the 2nd Jubilee Cake in Active buffs. Have a look.

But it is different. Another layer..Lol... :)
Now I will have 3 in my inventory!

Isn't this year the 4th Anniversary? Or have I totally got that mixed up. I was sure I already had a 3 layer cake just yesterday

ESO is 4 years old, so it's the 3rd anniversary.
You don't have an anniversary at launch.

Oh my, you might want to rethink that. 4 years means 4th anniversary.

The correct answer is that there was no Jubilee the first anniversary (which was not launch). So this is the 3rd Jubilee, but 4th anniversary.

Nope, the first anniversary is the year after something happened. You've counted 1 full year since occurrence.

Not sure who I'm agreeing or disagreeing with here, but this is what actually happened. If you wanna point fingers at someone, point at Zeni, they're the ones who had the jubilee numbers match up with the events instead of the actual anniversaries:

2014 - rollout, no anniversary, no event, no cake
    2015 - 1 year old, 1st anniversary, no event
    2016 - 2 years old, 2nd anniversary, 1st event, "Jubilee Cake"
    2017 - 3 years old, 3rd anniversary, 2nd event, "2nd Annual Jubilee Cake"
    2018 - 4 years old, 4th anniversary, 3rd event, "3rd Annual Jubilee Cake" (today)

You can verify the names of the actual momentos in your Momentos page, and they will also verify what you received them for...

They might have to go all iPhone or Windows and skip a number at some point.

Ok.... I get that this is:

    The 4th anniversary
    The 3rd Jubilee Cake

So how come....when I eat the 3rd anniversary cake it simply refreshes my Pie of Misrule xp bonus???

There is no buff for my cake showing...yes I'm eating the correct cake...

Because you still had the Pie of Misrule XP bonus active when you used the 3rd Jubilee Cake.
It will simply refresh the XP buff timer. It is still the same thing.

Same thing happened with me having Witchmother's XP bonus (Halloween) active with X timer remaining on it when using the Pie of Misrule for the Jester's XP buff.
The XP buffs from the special holiday events are all the same: 100% XP bonus for 120 minutes. ZOS simply just changed the name of the buff, even though they do the exact same thing.
So, if you still have an older buff active on a character from a previous holiday, it'll just refresh the timer on the old buff instead of renaming the buff to whatever the current holiday event is, lol.

I won't even mention the Forth Bridge. (Which I think was the second one, and there's another one next to it - the third - which is also the Forth Bridge).

they oopsed, never thought that anybody with 15 chars and refreshing them all right before jesters ended, would have any time left with 2 full days before the jubilee started. It works the same way, but to avoid any confusion, you can right click the pie buff on the character screen and it'll disappear, then use the 3rd cake again, and it'll pick right up...

Yup, accurate and took me a hot minute to figure out my own confusion. I whipped out some alts today, mostly who have only been active during XP buff events, and had a menagerie of XP buff names after eating the cake based on which one they had started with and kept being "refreshed" by a new event XP buff. I've got one whose cake just extended his New Life Festival drink, another whose Pie of Misrule has been extended, etc. LOL

Maybe they didn't want to leave the console players out of the party? They missed the first year of the game, due to the release being delayed.
