Me either. See, I'm not a huge fan of the fancy mounts, preferring costumes and stuff like that. So what happens? I keep getting all these mounts that so many others really, realllllly want. I so wish there was a way to trade.

I so wish that too. My best friend loves bears. I *hate* bears. Guess which one of us got the bear? Ugh. I would be more than happy to trade off with someone else who actually wants the dead dragon memento or the freaking ZOMBIE skin of all things that has frick-all to do with dragons or snow or anything else that makes sense to go with this season. Ugh, UGH. I'm pretty sure the RNG just knows that all I ever want is mounts and is determined to deprive me of any that I want. I must have accidentally run over its dog or something. :(

Just so. I'm trying to think of a downside to being able to trade. Not sell, but trade. I've a stable full of rotting, flaming, glowing beasts that I just don't want. I see so many who do...I'd be happy to just give these critters to them.

you can't see the downside? i was gonna say "i also wish we could trade, but i understand why we can't."

i went all out on crates when they were new. my main was a shock mage and i wanted an atronach mount for him to ride, because the theme is pervasive on him. i enjoy getting other goodies along the way too, and i was all set for RL gifts already. i wanted the senche most, but would have settled for anything other than the camel. guess what popped out of my second crate? still it was kind of encouraging, so i ended up opening 3 rounds of 15 with no other atronachs arriving. i picked up all the other shocky things (mementos and whatever) and had more than enough gems to buy the senche. i was just gonna wait for the next season to be datamined to make sure i wasn't wasting the gems. but then my mom bought me crowns for xmas and i decided to give it one more shot (well, 15 more). very first crate i was able to call my mom and tell her how she got me exactly what i wanted for christmas :)

but i still have to scroll past that stupid camel every time i go in there, and i shake my head. do you know his default name is "Shockhump"? ugh. of course there's no better name for an electric camel, because the idea of an electric camel is stupid. (electric cats, on the other hand, are badass.)

but still, there's somebody out there who'd love to have one, even more than i'd love to give it away. but let's imagine someone just like me except their opinion of senches and camels is reversed. if we could trade with each other, that's 30,000 Crowns that wouldn't have been purchased. that's somewhere in the area of a day's pay for someone who works at ZOS.

so i see why they don't allow that. but i still wish i never had to look at that stupid camel again unless it was my silly buddy riding by full of glee.

I got the wolf apex after 6 crates :# The RNG gods smile upon me

I hate you so much it hurts.

I got lke 420+ gems but had to choose between fancy dro-m'athra motif or a mount.

now my bosmer has a fancy costume but it's 180 gems short (pun intended) to get dream mount

Not if they made it so we could only trade crate items FOR other crate items. Considering all of the stuff I have that won't stack with like items because of where I obtained them, this seems more than possible. So someone would have to have bought at least one crate to receive one item to trade for another item from someone else's crown crate.

i bought 4 crates this time as i want to save my crowns for a certain motif. got the elk mount. if i remember correctly last year you could buy it for around 4000 crowns and i got it for 1500 so i guess i kinda got a good deal after all.

I got nothing related to the current theme, from around twenty crates. I got the sabre cat mount, one that I paid 4000 crowns for already. I got just enough gems to get a-n-n-e the Elk. The sound is awesome.

I also recently bought the 15 crown crate bundle, for the first time, and I too got the Elk (twice actually) and another mount from a one of my free crates but I didn't open till after I bought the bundle.

Coincidence? Probably, but the conspiracy side of me thinks ZoS bumps the RNG if you buy for the first time and/or in bulk.

i'm not sure i follow. in the example, i got my desired item in my 4th round of 15, and my hypothetical buddy's desired item in the first round. my buddy's circumstance is similar. if we could trade, neither of us would have gotten to the 4th round because we would have traded after the first round. it satisfies your crate-item for crate-item criteria, and illustrates how that 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round of crates would have gone unpurchased.

If you and your hypothetical buddy are buying individual crates one at a time then I can see that, but if you had 15 rounds I'm guessing you got the 15-pack and if your hypothetical buddy's circumstance is similar then so did he, because I can't imagine anyone choosing to spend an extra 1000 crowns on 15 crates individually rather than getting the whole bundle. I'm picturing trading at any time after opening crates, meaning you already bought however many crates you were going to buy, and the *qualifying* (meaning, they have to have opened a crate already to have the item to trade to you) person you run into next week that opened 97 crates and didn't get what they wanted has already bought however many crates they were going to get. Probably they'd have to add another qualifier that you couldn't trade consumable trash, or anything below blue level reward, to keep people from just trading garbage potions and such for mounts. Again I think that would be easy enough to program.

The luckiest person I've seen was this guy who got a Shadow Rider Senche, which is an awesome radiant apex mount, from a free crate... Meanwhile other people spent like 150-200 crates just for that mount, which is equivalent to a few hundred dollars. RNG is just **** man lol
