I swear, so many ppl just read a few things and then come cry on here about their class getting nerfed. I've looked up the Reddit post, watched some of Gilliam's stream, Woeler's vid, etc. The unanimous opinion on DK is that they were absolutely buffed and pretty much back in the scene.
Plus it looks like a DK healer might even be viable in Summerset. Not to mention NBs too. Why are people already complaining?
To be fair, Gilliam said on his stream that his parses were on a Dev server with 100% uptime on every buff/debuff and were wholly unrealistic. I don't think a parse admittedly described as "wholly unrealistic" is a good barometer for what a "realistic" parse might look like.
I never spoke on the unrealistic vs realistic parses of DK. What they're seeing from PTS though is that the sustain changes have finally made it so DK has gone from pure trash to actually viable/strong. Need to wait until Summerset PTS to know for sure though. I'd be very happy if my main was a Mag DK.2 -

Also again I'm complaining about fragmented shield because I don't want half measured they should return igneous shields major mending and make fragmented shield something worth choosing major mending over. Simply increasing the duration on another morph IMO was laziness.

Fragmented shields is a buff to stamdks. Not everyone plays a magdk like you
Fragmented shields will be an awesome skill for Stam DKs and likely very strong for DK Healers, which will finally be a thing in Summerset.
The only worry I have is how the stacking of shields will be handled between a DK Tank and a DK Healer.

Sadly I don't zerg, I don't group, I run strictly solo... Actually when I'm Emperor I do group up so I can gate AD/EP depending on how well they play.
I got my rank solely solo play and during that mid year mayhem I didn't take part in it due to the lag and had subsequently went on hiatus for months playing other games because of the lag.
@StaticWave I sent you a link to my videos so you can clearly see I'm not bad and in my videos they all show my solo i.e not in a group. As I've stated before Igneous shields major mending buff should've returned to normal and fragmented shield should've been turned into something that gave burst damage which was the change I had thought up on the spot which is also listed in this thread.不動の Steadfast - Unwavering

If you rely on dark deal for sustain, then you're only good in groups where you can rely on your teammate. In solo it's horrible. Steel tornado and interrupt change is not a sorc buff. It's an indirect buff yea, but other classes also benefit. Give me one direct buff that stamsorc has and we can start discussing.1 -

I havent watched it yet. But using your alliance rank as a measure for your understanding of the game does not make a good argument, just saying. I'm just very confused as to why you complained about fragmented shield buff when stam dks benefit from it. I defenitly works. On Pc EU there are several stamsorcs who all utilise those high damage builds with the only sustain via DD. With your mobility you can always prevent yourself from getting swarmed anything else is player error.
Interrupt changes, off balance changes with the upcoming changes: Bound armor, and the new sustain passive are huge buffs.2 -

I defenitly works. On Pc EU there are several stamsorcs who all utilise those high damage builds with the only sustain via DD. With your mobility you can always prevent yourself from getting swarmed anything else is player error.
Interrupt changes, off balance changes with the upcoming changes: Bound armor, and the new sustain passive are huge buffs.
Other classes can get the same mobility. They only miss out of 10% minor expedition but that's miniscule if you run medium armor. Again, try 800 regen with dark deal as your only sustain when you fight 5+ people. It does not work lol. Sorcs are forced to use certain builds, but those builds are outperformed by other classes. Kodi who is a toptier PvPer and a well known streamer even said it himself. They are shadowed by other classes.1 -

3/ Good stamdks still slay in pvp, as well as good stamsorcs. But stamdks are better than sorcs in group

With a team mate is clutching. Git gud skrub. Show some 1vXs and then claim. All baiting aside. Stamsorc isn't weak. It is far from it. The indirect changes still count, such as how root changes were a nerf to DKs. A good stamDK has similar burst, whilst having worse regen, less pressure, and less mobility. They are better for groups, with negates, streak AoE stun and implosion. (to passively execute) Hardly the lowest on the food chain, look to all the poor mag builds. Mate you claimed that I knew little about PvP then say me bringing my rank into the play (which I did with my alliance v alliance kills/play time) isn't something I should mention to rebuff your claim that I knew little to PvP?????
Edit: Also fragmented shield doesn't do anything close to what I mentioned because that would be a burst damage which would be something I definitely would've incorporated into my build.

It was you know said I haven't played the game very long, which implies that I don't know as much because I play less than you. I replied saying that even though i play less, I know more about PvP than you do. Then you bragged about your PvP alliance rank as if it really matters. Then i asked you for 1vX and small scale clips because that's what makes a player good - the ability to fight more people than you have.

There is no way a stamsorc loses in any category vs a stamdk. You have more pressure, more damage, more sustain, better mobility etc.
Stamsorcs are at the lowest position in the foodchain though. I don't see that many stamsorcs in cyrodill. Can you explain to me? And no, I've tried running a full dmg build with 800 regen. It does not work, period. The moment you get swamped and you can't dark deal, you're done for. I defenitly works. On Pc EU there are several stamsorcs who all utilise those high damage builds with the only sustain via DD. With your mobility you can always prevent yourself from getting swarmed anything else is player error.
Interrupt changes, off balance changes with the upcoming changes: Bound armor, and the new sustain passive are huge buffs.
Other classes can get the same mobility. They only miss out of 10% minor expedition but that's miniscule if you run medium armor. Again, try 800 regen with dark deal as your only sustain when you fight 5+ people. It does not work lol. Sorcs are forced to use certain builds, but those builds are outperformed by other classes. Kodi who is a toptier PvPer and a well known streamer even said it himself. They are shadowed by other classes.
No other classes don't have access to streak or hurricane. It works wonderful especially in towers it defenitly works, it works on Pc EU if it works there it'll work anywhere else and even better.

You're probably bad then. If you can't see the buffs a stamsorc got, then I don't know what to tell ya man. Yeah, they are overshadowed by warden, but stamsorc mobility keeps them mid tier, wheras stamDK is bottom tier OW, and absolute bottom overall PvP.

2/ Stamsorcs never got a DIRECT buff. The interrupt change was indirect.
3/ Good stamdks still slay in pvp, as well as good stamsorcs. But stamdks are better than sorcs in group

With a team mate is clutching. Git gud skrub. Show some 1vXs and then claim. All baiting aside. Stamsorc isn't weak. It is far from it. The indirect changes still count, such as how root changes were a nerf to DKs. A good stamDK has similar burst, whilst having worse regen, less pressure, and less mobility. They are better for groups, with negates, streak AoE stun and implosion. (to passively execute) Hardly the lowest on the food chain, look to all the poor mag builds. (bar NB) The only thing a stamDK has better is leap.

Hmmm. Considering the fact that 100% of my PvP experience consists of taking a resource, only to get swamped by 10+ enemies, or just getting zerged down in general, makes it kinda hard not wanting to group up. I doubt you even watched the videod, so i dont see any point posting vids.
let's pretend that indirect change was a direct change. How many changes did stamsorcs have in the last few patches? Let me know when you find one. Whatever builds stamsorcs use, stamdks can do better. Talk to the good players, everyone will say that1 -

✭What the hell are you talking about? They got a Igneous shield buff, snare removal (that no other magicka class has!), and a sustain buff via status effects.
They got great buffs
Well if the sustainbuff is added to tje passive like it is now, then its a buff....if it replaces the actual passive then its a *** hard nerf. We will see how it will be.
Snare removal is nice to be resnared again 0.5sec later by any other snaring skills put onto you.
Actually all CC has to become blockable or be negated by CC immunity, maybe increase blockcost if you block a CC. i dunno how to improve it, but the current state is unbearable atm. Snares, roots, stunns everywhere you try to go, its just insanePC EU

What makes DKs more 'tankier' than the next class... please do not even mention the 10% block passive as they plays out by taking into account your resistances, your buffs, then applies the 10% on the calculated cost of the two. Example: 20k Damage divided by Resistance + buff multiplied by 10% = the outcome of what 10% really is.不動の Steadfast - Unwavering

Okay I'm out. That's it i give up you can simply not discuss with people who think stamdk has anything going for it.
The healing is worse especially when you compare it to the heals of the current stamsorc meta:
Stamsorc has vigor, rally/FM, surge and DD as healing skills also they feature much higher weapon damage in viable builds as they can completely ignore sustain with the current meta builds
Stamdk has vigor and Rally/FM + battle roar + major mending and the 12% healing from Passives. Battle roar heals for less than DD and isn't used as often, vigor and Rally tick for less as the DK has to build for sustain and surge completely overshades the healing bonuses of DK.
We also haven't covered the other things, stamsorc is more mobile meaning it eats much less damage while DK has weak mobility and eats more damage.
So in the end you have worse healing and take more damage as a Stamdk. And this is how it works in OW cyro, in 1vX or small scale. A dk that can survive as long as a stamsorc has much less damage or sustain than a stamsorc.5
