This is what they wanted since launch I thought, the idea every class can do every roll well enough to be an option.

I couldn't agree more. Nobody should roll a class and discover a year later, "OMG, I made the worst mistake of my life!"

Classes should have their own distinct identity, but they should also be as capable of tackling any content in the game as well as any other. For example, I don't think it's good if people think they MUST have a Sorc or a Nightblade to complete VMA.

This! The op said quit homogenising the classes. I agree! I also agree that classes should be able to do different roles.

At the same time, give each class 1/3 healing of their skill trees so that classes who do have 1/3 their skills about healing are not weaker in consequence of having chosen that class to heal with.

Or remove all healing trees and change them to buffs/debuffs and/or healing/dps morphs but place all actual heals in resto tree, so that classes originally used as healers due to 1/3 skills being heals, can instead dps.

But do not make all the classes the damn same just so all classes can do X role.

Make them all unique, but with the options with correct morphs/builds to be able to become their chosen role, but not because they have become more and more the same damn thing with a different name.

Magplars are doing fine right now though. They're one of the more popular 1vX classes and dueling classes being played currently, at least on console. Stamplar could use a resource buff and I think repentance should go back to returning resources for the entire group. Im not against a buff for templars but I don't think it should be huge from a PvP standpoint.

@srfrogg23 no patch notes yet, but those who went to ZOS were allowed to talk about what they saw. Alcast has a good TL;DR fo the skill changes.

classes have nothing to do with it.

you MUST have a DPS setup for VMA.

Because it doesnt matter that I can survive Maxus + 8 adds fine for 30 mins with my stamplar tank. What does matter is that no matter what I do, I cannot kill the adds or maxus enough before he merges with them and heals passed what I damaged him.

I could re-gear for max possible dps with my build and then get through it fine. and THATS the problem. It has nothing to do with class and skills, almost everyone can figure out a skill combination with their class for it to work. But if your built tanky as hell or with super human regens, and lack sustained burst damage. Then nope not possible.

This isn't a class specific thread, although I feel like the dk has lost what made it unique more so than any other class especially with the introduction of the warden.

    Homogenizing Roles access is fine.

    Homogenizing Role approach is not.

Though in the case of chains it's pretty much the same approach albeit with less functionality and stamina based. However, no other class had access to this level of Mob Control. And I find Homogenization of Role approach the lesser of two evils when access is non-existent prior.

    Dear ZOS,

Please do away with classes entirely and let everyone learn all abilities and truly build a character the way they want like in the single player titles.

    Sincerely,
    Me.

    *pat pat*

    Feel better?

If I can be honest, I don't really care for class identity, so long as I am having fun in the end. In fact, sometimes, most MMOs make the mistake of trying to stick too close to the class identity and building its own brand of "fun", which usually clashes with what players view as "fun". World of Warcraft and Blizzard has been notorious for making this error, but Zeni has never committed this error with ESO, and for our sake I hope they never do. Remember, ESO was built with the idea that "You, the player, control your own destiny", and messing with class identity makes it look like I'm not in control of my own destiny.

I'm sorry if this post looks idiotic. I'm tired, and I don't post well when I'm tired.

I'm going to go now. Later.

    Signed,
    Lord Arena25
