See, and this is the thing - whenever you tell people the price'll drop, they act like you've got three heads. 312 pages of listings, which I can only assume has gone up since this was posted? The thing is, starting tomorrow, the price will probably increase. Currently, almost nobody is buying them since they are hoping to get them as a reward from the festival boxes. However, when the festival is over, people will buy them since they can't be obtained anymore quickly draining the amount available. Furthermore, since from here on out, some people will also mass purchase the recipes to sell in half a year for a large profit, even further reducing the supply and increasing the price. All this will mean that the supply is at its highest point (no more recipes coming after today) and a huge surge of demand will come the days after the festival is over.0 -

Exact same scenario for me. Did the quests on 4 chars every day Thurs to Sun and got one DCT recipe. That's *** considering it is required for the achievement, AND it is basically one of only three useful stamina recipes (other two being bi-stat max health/stam and max tri-stat food).
New stam players will continue to get screwed throughout the year, while a new mag player can buy a witchmothers recipe at any time for 5k. What a joke.0 -

Or maybe he was a scammer and didn't really have them. Or maybe he was an ESO millionaire and bought them all for 100,000 each to resell for higher.

Ridiculous, I did 6 quests, got 3 dubious recipes. Either do the event or wait for the price to drop guys. I think they raised the chance for the recipe this time, can't be just me that's having such luck.
Did quests every day on 6-7 chars and got one. I got a lot of the other purple recipe and a lot of the tent though. I traded 1 tent for a dct and I bought one for 22k in zone. So I have 2 spares now.

I agree for the most part but I think the stress needs to be on time gated RNG being inappropriate for achievements. I have yet to get all the random monster trophy drops for the achieve that collects those, nearly four years into (casually) playing the game, and that's cool by me. If I got pressed about it I could go do spurts of farming the specific mobs that can drop the things, at my convenience.
When you only have a week or two or only have a few days, however, it becomes a stress source unless you can convince your deeper self that you truly don't care if you get the achieve or not. Which for me becomes in effect truly not caring whether I even log in for a week or a month. I'm pretty sure ZoS would appreciate more frequent play, so maybe they shouldn't make it so discouragingly unlikely to complete event achieves unless one no-lifes the game for a bit.0 -
