Not sure why those who didn't purchase it, get it for free, comparatively speaking, and those who did purchase it, pay the same? It's $90 in my country, and I don't see why those who did buy Morrowind, get a "You were stupid to buy it, because now it's free, for those who didn't." Accordingly, I can wait until this edition is free with the next release, or I will pay now for a reduced price because I bought Morrowind............makes no sense. Fool me once shame on you.........I won't be fooled twice.

You don't get stuff for free. Pay up if you want new content.
Yes. I agree.
My sarcasm must not have worked.

It's going to be Awesome!
Details to come Tuesday.
SO, will it actually fix all the core issues with the game (you know..the important stuff that sholdnt be a problem in 2018..like lag, optimization, fps drops, network code..etc)..OR, jsut add some random stuff and ignore the game itself?
Oh look, some more cool pixels to look at and "explore" for 1 hour, jewelry and a skill line...ncie PAID dlc

People saying/implying that the game is beyond the point of fixing or hopeless, hating on the devs for no reason and with no real info... lol seriously why would anybody hate the game, think it's never going to improve, and yet STILL be here trolling the forums?
Anyways, I'm hyped for Summerset and hyped for Tuesday! Thanks Nestor!

Wow. Why so negative? Have you even been here since launch? Your profile say's only since 2016.
This was a nice, positive post that shares some of the cool things that some got to do and share what they can.
Shame for being the "Negative Nancy"...Lol..
Thank You Nestor, starkerealm and the others who were there and for sharing with us!!
1,000 Huzzahs to you all!!

Wrobel promised in the warden feedback thread that they would be looking at DPS across all the classes back during the Clockwork City PTS cycle (the next balance patch from that comment is Summerset). Let's hope the warden is still on the agenda. I'm tired of complaining about the class for 12 months now. Since then, templar and DK have fallen on hard times as well. The gap between NB/Sorc and Templar/DK/Warden is massive right now, with warden especially far behind (as it has been since the class released).
Sounds like a good justification for not adding more classes in the future.

The obsession with X class parsing better than Y while ignoring any utility or class inherencies has, and continues to be, the downfall of many MMORPGs. All it does is end up pushing numbers higher across the board and leading to an accelerated power creep.

Yeah, text sarcasm can be very hard to detect unless you intentionally annotate it. It's all about tone of voice and delivery, which gets lost in text more often than not.
Also, it's not like you're expressing an unheard of opinion.
I mean, MMOs are a fantastic genre (when the games work). It's one of the only places in the industry where you'll find an entire genre that lives on the developers working to make it better over time. A bad game can release, sell well on a name, and then quietly shuffle off, while still being a success, but a bad MMO can't.
That means, money has to come for development from somewhere, and that requires a post-launch business model. But, that plays havoc with expectations for a lot of people, because they're used to games being a, "you buy it, you have it," kind of a setup, which lead to very distorted expectations when you get to MMOs. Hell, I avoided the entire genre for years because of the subscription model, and only got in on games that started with LTS services. In fact, I think ESO is only the second MMO I've ever played where I actually pay the subscription fee on a regular basis.
But, yeah, sarcasm... no harm no foul. On a long enough timescale, I could certainly get behind some of the early DLCs getting rolled into the base game content, simply to keep new players from feeling too intimidated on the way into the store. But, at the same time, I'd kinda rather Stugga just stop chasing me down every time I stick my nose in Vulkhel Guard.was this a "sponsored" post?
I understand the cynicism coming out in this thread. To an extent, I've shared it at one time or another. Anyone who's been around long enough should remember that I've gotten extremely salty about a couple bugs that hit me hard over the years (specifically gear deterioration near launch, and the bar swap delay with Dragon Bones). At the time, it really felt like I was getting directly screwed over.
I've also played MMOs where developers were antagonistic or derisive towards the community. Having actually talked, at length with the people on staff, I really do not see that here.
If you think that's, "bought and paid for," because we were wined and dined, I gotta say, I value my personal integrity a bit more than that.
Okay, some personal background for a second. I'm in my mid-30s. I have a career. If @Nestor wants to tell you his situation he's entirely welcome to. While I'm not raking in the bucks, getting some free stuff wouldn't really sway my position. This is more significant because, many of us rely on our integrity to sell the products we create. Many of the people who went were content creators of one stripe or another. While both dinners were amazing, they're not worth chucking my career over.
There's a real fundamental disconnect that can occur, particularly based on where you are in life. When you're younger (I'm not putting an age on this, because age and youth are not, always, entirely synonymous), gifts carry far more weight, and have a far greater influence on you. As you get older, gifts become a far more complex system. Now, I wouldn't blame anyone for being jealous at all. That's a natural reaction, and I certainly don't blame anyone for getting suspicious because they think their reaction would be different if placed in that situation.
If you're in the position of saying, "hey, if they gave me cool stuff, I'd be far more likely to do what they say," that's fine. That's where you are. However, personally, I'm well past that point in my life. The trip was amazing, really. But, it wasn't the stuff, or the trip itself, that affected my opinions, it was the people I met, and was interacting with. That includes people like Rich, Gina, Jeremy, Rob, and Wrobel. There's a cliche about people being passionate about their job, but I do believe they really are committed to making the game the best it can be.
