There's an older poll and far larger sample somewhere that points that's 30 to 40 is largerest group. This could orginal digtal gamers growing up though.

It can, yes. I've some health issues that make pain and I pretty much constant companions and there are, literally, days when poking a key is almost too much. Reaction times are slower as well. But don't be scared.
You learn to compensate for most things and if you really love gaming, you'll find a way. Might be a bit slower but you'll get there!

Yep 15 years ago i could work all day come home, game for 6-8 hours go to bed about 1 or 2 am, get up at 5 or 6 am to be at work. Could do that every day.
Now, if i spend more than 2-3 hours gaming at a time, my knuckles lock up and my fingers feel like they got slammed in the car door and then ran over by said car.
I can still work circles around younger people though, so there is that.

I had a gnome pink haired tank in wow playing with me who was great, had her on chat one day.
Fiesty but very nice lady. Turned out to be mid 80, she even proved it in good humor without me asking for it, after we been chatting and having fun for a while over the chat. I never knew before that, been playing for months together already. Thought it was awesome. She rocked, had awesome humor and was one of the nicest/best (ok well maybe not best but she was pretty good) players I ever met. She didn't dare tell her gender and age before and I had to promise not to tell the others. Such a shame. Thank goodness we are moving away from that. Gamers forever

You cannot expect a player of such an age to posses reflexes ,stamina and fire of the individual in 20's or 30's It is not possible,especially not if he/she has been playing games vigorously for decades..
