It's an NPC and ZOS (Kai) has confirmed there will be no flying for players.OlafdieWaldfee wrote: »If it's a NPC it proves nothing. Tons of flying mobs already in game.
I don't think the games design will ever allow seamless flight from one zone to another and invisible barriers would be ***.

Cyrodiil.
Isn't that what ESO end game already is? Aside from daily quests most people gather in towns and use queues to get into dungeons/PvP.DMuehlhausen wrote: »I would honestly probably stop playing if they introduce flying mounts. The whole idea behind MMOs is to have a world filled with people moving around. Once they came to WoW everyone just stood in a capital waiting for a dungeon queue to pop or flew around to resource nodes. they are such a stupid item to put into these types of games.

Not trying to side with those who want flying, because I could care less either way but the argument of "cyrodiil" is pointless because all ZOS would have to do is not allow flying in that particular zone so it's kind of useless to use that as an excuse for no flying.
The problem is ESO doesn't have the world for it. They also have the Wayshrine system (which was their reason closer to launch for not needing flying).PrinceDamien wrote: »

I mean they would have to do a damn load of world design and redesign to make flying mounts viable, and I just don't see ZOS doing that.
It is an NPC, as I keep posting ZOS (Kai) confirmed that on the German forums.PrinceDamien wrote: »Personally I think that's just an NPC of some sort.
But if NPC's can fly, maybe later players will be able to. who knows.

I can't with this post. People already complain about pets getting in the way. If a city had 20+ people on "gliding mounts" with wings out....jesus on a stick, no one could see anything.

2. That's an NPC. There are some daedric creatures that can fly. Does that mean we can fly? No.
3. There won't be flying mounts in ESO.
Your first point is a moan.
Your second point is nonsense, not because its incorrect but because its simply unreasonable to use as a basis for argument, daedric creatures are powerful beings letting us dominate them by riding them would be ridiculous so of course we can't ride them and as I pointed out there are creatures in Nirn that have been tamed and flown by mortals. That said just too spite you I hope they do bring out a daedric flying mount just so I can laugh.
Your third point is unfounded. Even if zos say there will not be any flying mounts they havent got a good track record at keeping their word and they know people want them.

Eines der Folgethemen wären Flugmounts gewesen.

Ok but then it *** on literally every other mount in game and makes them 100000000x less attractive compared to something that can fly lol..
As someone who owns over 20 mounts that i paid for i would hate see something so much greater be worth same thing but 10000000x cooler.
Unless of course they edit all other mounts to fly then i would vote yes
Thats just selfish lol
I for one would love for this too happen no matter what, simply because;
1) flying mounts should be a thing there are plenty of tamed flying creatures used by men and mer in the universe of Elder Scrolls.
2) It would bring one of my best friends back to the game.
3) I wont Have too pay to get somewhere at a decent pace anymore (apart from the initial mount purchase).
1. Name flying mounts aside from dragons whom only bend to dovah and Griffin whom only altmer have access to
2. If your friend needs flying to come back to the game he didn't enjoy it in the first place
3. The wayshrine cost is laughable and maxed mounts with rapids are fast enough
