Wait a minute now. Just because I call people out for their shenanigans in a lowbie campaign doesn't mean I think they are unworthy of consideration or respect. Don't act like you haven't been there and seen (or participated in) me getting t-bagged by people who have played this game for years. Disdain is the word to describe my feelings about that. I would LOVE to go to Alaska, but I don't think that would give many job options for my fiancé. She works in art museums and unfortunately there just isn't much of that there - though I can imagine there's something in Anchorage or Juneau. I would love to go up to Denali and do a bit of climbing.

I'm probably going to pursue a wilderness medicine fellowship and it's entirely conceivable that I work in Alaska for a while.

You don’t make stuff up and try to sell it as fact, or magically appear in obscure places to video a guild you don’t like “exploiting”. If nobodies feeding him anything, and the intel is clearly not something they would reveal themselves, it’s basically an admission that he made it up. Just like he made up the idea to go to that particular spot at the that particular time and just happen to find aa down there, no one fee him intel about them being there. That’s def not what happened.

I've tried fly fishing a few times. I live on the barrier islands in southern south carolina, and salt water inshore fishing is my favorite thing to do. I'm either at work, playing eso, or in my boat fishing. Tried fly fishing a couple times last summer wading on the flats, I sucked at it.

@Whomstdvely I think your GM is just too stupid to realize he's in my trade guild, and that I figured I would poke around what he was doing in Quarantine Serk for hours. Ah yes, grinding DB with 6-7 people at a time in the spot where zombies give no XP. It's not like I'm employing Anna Chapman to guess this. He'd probably die to the mobs if nobody was there to do it for him anyways. PS: his guild group still dies to pugs gathered from DC zone chat dressed in mighty Rubedite Sabatons of Stamina.

Maybe it's telling that the people in his guild message me for build advice (and I'm a very average player at that) instead of him. Or maybe he's just too busy multitasking, writing emails filled with homophobic garbage while he's mistforming away from a 1v1 all the way from Alessia to Faregyle.

I really wish I screenshotted some of the things that GM sent me. Super funny stuff. Dude needs to learn that elliptical dots and periods don't serve the same purpose. I just hope he doesn't write the company ... newsletter... or... anything...

Also, it's hilarious to hear he mistforms from you too, @gabriebe . I don't even play the campaign anymore and this is making me chortle a bit before I hit the hay.

If you want to teach new players how to succeed in the game, do it from a place of experience. That's my advice. But what do I know?

Lol you guys are such a joke, I live. Apparently looking at a guild roster I am a part of myself is creepy now.

Here is my complete thought process:

*I need to craft some stuff, let me go to that house that has all the crafting stations*

    *Opens up guild roster*

*Sees that one GM in Quarantine Serk*

*I wonder how many of em it takes to change a lightbulb/grind Dawnbreaker to 5K HP zombies*

*Let's go spook them and tell them I recorded them exploiting*

    Apparently it worked.

It's been around for ages. Most of the folks who reroll know it. If you want a treatise on being degenerate in Kyne, I'll type stuff up and share things. I don't play that campaign anymore and unless they add a new class I don't think they will. Frankly, even if they do add a new class I'm not worried about having trouble 1vX in that campaign. I used to poopoo vet, but whenever I've gone back to play Kyne and then go back to Shor I find myself having gotten lazy and not maintaining buffs/heals like I normally do. I'm not trying to become a worse player than I already am, so no point in going back.

Shoot, I'm just going to do it anyway.

    First off, ults:

    Dawnbreaker

Dawnbreaker's one of the best DPS ults accessible for stamina classes for solo/group play unless you're a stamblade where I'd use dawnbreaker in group and incap solo. Always morph to dawnbreaker of smiting. If you don't, you've made the wrong choice barring absurdly niche scenarios that don't really apply to nonvet play. The CC is too valuable. You can make a case for stamina warden running permafrost, but that's better in group. For magicka classes I think that it's the best ult for magplar, magsorc, and often magwarden. MagDK is better served by take flight/ferocious leap (actually depends on preference because no CP to increase elemental damage). MagNB is better served by incap (or soul harvest if emp). If you're a magwarden and using bear ult for anything but duels, please don't.

Dawnbreaker can be grinded without obtaining experience by going to Quarantine Serk Catacombs, which is accessible with the first part of a quest in Deshaan at the most northwestern wayshrine. Do not complete the quest, go to the catacombs, then kill the room full of ~30 zombies and kill them ad nauseum. They have much lower health than other NPCs and do pitiful damage. You can get dawnbreaker at level 3 trivially. This is easiest to do on a class like templar or warden because of their AOE at a low level. Just pick up a resto/destro/bow to allow for ranged pulls and you can pull the room all at once. Since the zombies don't give experience it doesn't really matter what weapon you use.

If you don't want to grind it that way and want to acquire experience (I think that this is the better method), then you need to go to Alikir Desert and dolmen grind. I've only done this once and it was genuinely surprising how efficiently I leveled by skill lines while pushing fighter's guild. I'd only do it this way on future characters. It's important that you do not have an XP buff running while you are doing this because you'll level too highly to get dawnbreaker of smiting at a fun level. If you do it this way you'll get the ult unmorphed in the 20s and then you'll morph it mid 30s.

Oh yeah, join the fighter's guild early and often. If you don't, you're gonna have a bad time.

    Meteor

Meteor's overrated. It's a great ult for killing bad players in nonvet. Good folks are just going to tap block and shrug it off, then move out of the AOE.

Don't grind mage's guild past entropy unless you're either keeping the character for good or you're pushing for emp. I've only ground it on characters I'll keep for good and I didn't use meteor on those characters because I was also pushing for emp. Emp has more fun ults to get kills on.

    Eye of the Storm

Takes the least work, but it's the best emp ult bar none. This is where bookshelf grinding comes in. Unlike class skills or other weapon skills, destro staff has 10 bookshelves with 2 per alliance zone. Once you find the two per zone (e.g. 2 in auridon, 2 in grahtwood, etc) then you need to move onto the next zone. This lets you jump from 40-50. I'll post the AD bookshelf grind locations at a later time.

For magicka characters this is the ult you want on your emp. I had a magsorc emp where I ticked off 50 killing blows on my last emp defense in under 2 minutes keeping volatile familiar ticking, laying wall of elements, and literally popping off eye of the storm back to back between streak CC's.

It's important to remember that if you get enough killing blows as emp to regen the ult before the duration of the ult has expired you can stack multiple eyes of the storm at the same time. I've had 12k/second of AOE damage ticking on my emp character before.

The only character I wouldn't grind this on is a magDK who has better emp ult options. If you're a magsorc emp pushing then use a lightning staff for the AOE buff. I really wish I had the chance to grind this on my first magNB bomber emp, but weapon ults hadn't come out yet.

Anyway, those are the big ults that take a little work. I'll post more later when I'm bored and less/equivalently/more tipsy.

The only emp I have ever done in Vet campaigns was my magblade, and an almost permanent destro ult because of Soul Harvest and all the ult regen passives is just such a beautiful thing.

I have mostly stopped grinding end-game ults like that though because I don't really want to get into an arms race I'm too lazy to sustain. Don't really want to have a proxy det/destro ult train in Kyne. But thanks for putting this all together, you're saving me some work in explaining it to people who are interested.
