In preparation for Summerset...

I was making a new toon since my main is a DC Nightblade and has his sanctuary in the DB and just doesn't fit with summerset (I will still do Summerset with him eventually since he is my achievement toon)

And sorry but I HATE playing a high elf so i was not going to make a high elf so i made a AD Khajiit since I love Khajiit and i felt a sorcerer would fit best with Summerset theme but he will be a stam sorc (because i still like to be competitive) and his " story" will be he was raised as a sorcerer but but was more drawn to physical combat rather than magical abilities. but he has the magical knowledge so he uses it to support his physical combat. His name is "Do TukTuk" since "Do" means distinctive warrior for Khajiit naming and im always something tucktuck

I will play through all the AD story line and some of the DLC stories before the chapter comes so he is all ready for it

**Disclaimer** Ive been playing since launch but only recently once i started on PC after i moved from console did i get into more lore/rp stuff so I'm not very knowledgeable with the lore and mostly just have backstories and use emotes when i can. not really a RPer. so if my story breaks someones "rules" I'm sorry!

Anyone else making any toons specifically for the new chapter or doing anything else they would like to share in preparation??

Love the thought you've put into the character, having backstory and head canon makes every character more personal and lovable.

I'm not doing it so much really. I play most of the stories on my Dunmer MagBlade first.

The most preparation I am doing is levelling all my alts and skilling them up, also throwing any unbound jewellery into the guild bank just in case we can use them to level the crafting line.

You may be interested in looking into Khajiit martial arts
and then maybe having a sort of headcanon that your Sorcerer capabilities come through your management of flow of energy similar to Qi

not attempting to dictate a story, just food for thought

my main is a Bosmer Nightblade who was adopted into a Breton family in DC, so not well suited to Summerset

Thinking of running through Summerset with my Altmer Magplar who left the islands due to family and social issues
it may be interesting to think of in terms of 'inner conflicts'
as part of my story is having been raised very xenophobic and with a racist view towards the rest of Tamriel
and having those perceptions been broken through traveling and engaging with inhabitants of other provinces

none of my characters respond well to discrimination, but my Templar has taken more 'a journey' in developing her views

My main is going to be traveling through Summerset and Artaeum, bc his backstory is that he was born in the early 2nd Era, started prolonging his life at a certain age (due to magic. Everyone does it). And after he became a Vestige, he also had the unfortunate luck of becoming a vampire. So now he's immortal, and he travels all over Tamriel, seeking to experience every culture, and learn as much magic and skills he can. For the Psijic Order, I'm gonna have it so that he leaves just before the island disappears again, and thus isn't considered to be a Psijic anymore. (The whole thing is that he survives all the way through the 3rd era (he goes to Morrowind and Cyrodiil), to the 4th (Skyrim), and hasn't died due to him helping so many people that they just look past the vampirism).

I'm also making a sorcerer character who's going to be a sibling for my magblade, as they share the same last names. I want to experience Summerset's tutorial, so he'll be the one for that.

Definitely that sounds a lot in line with what i was thinking anyways! I'm at work now but this morning before work I created his look and then set up my settings and addons the way my other toons are set up. but I'm sure as i play through and level ill add to his story/learn more about everything. Plus i have never actually read any of the quests so this will be my first play through actually trying to immerse myself, I'm excited. i mean i know the gist of the story since even if you don't read you hear bits and pieces as you play but thats it

my main is similar who does everything is an assassin, so my headcanon is just that he travels the world and experiences everything and is a chameleon of sorts and can fit in anywhere and join a society and then just leave and move to the next place when he wants. (also a vampire)

I made a High Elf Sorcerer. I just wanted one character that was backstory wise, just pure loyal to the Dominion and born in Summerset and such. I look forward to the hole "I'm coming home" for the character. I got a High Elf Warden but being a Warden makes the character feel more like not as loyal, more wild and nature oriented like a Wood Elf.

Warden has a Druid or Ranger type feel to it
am hoping we are exposed to such a faction inhabiting Summerset
and maybe even given (well, ZOS, so sold...) an aesthetic option to change the Animal line from Morrowind creatures

Altmer tend to feel more High Culture tho
so kind of thinking the knightly order of gryphon riders will be Summerset's 'version' of ranger or druidic culture
maybe like having a Helicopter police force over Hawaii

Going to love using my main, who's been waiting for a mage focused area in AD for some time (YEARS), who has also had history (RP-wise) with the Psijic Order. Might even use my old Bosmer that I never ever use because the area fits her character.

I have an Altmer Sorc that I've been leveling (currently lvl 24) for Summerset. I thought about making a new one and deleting that one since, lore-wise, the Altmer are known to hate Daedra and not deal with them, and they do revere the Aedra. So an Altmer Templar would make more sense. I'm conflicted. I haven't used him in weeks because I don't want him to get too high leveled.

Of my 14 characters, 3 are Bosmer, 3 are Altmer, and one is A Khajiit Stamina Sorcerer. I love the Khajiit Stam Sorc. I imagine you're going to have a great deal of fun with your new character.

I will be deleting a less used character to create a new one for Summerset. Currently planning on a Bosmer StamDK. I have not got into the backstory yet but will come up with something before I actually create it. (I don't currently have a stamdk and will make a poison build fit with my new forest char.)

im just excited to get one of the new houses on the island for him! I have the DB cave for my assassin but i would love a nice one in the forest in summerset!

When it comes down to loyalty and fitting in on Summerset a Khajiit can work. Look at Raz for example. I got one Khajiit Nightblade and the backstory for that character is supreme loyalty to the Dominion. An eye of the queen, even similar armor to Raz. So story wise, sending a Khajiit can work. Warden does feel out of place, like an Altmer Warden would care but maybe not as much as someone more devoted to the Dominion. Depends on the characters story.

Hmmm interesting, almost considering changing to Templar now. Since templars seem to be agents of the light and good and all that. However I already got 2 templars. This is only my second sorcerer. Do as you like, although seems a shame to waste all that time you spent lvling that sorcerer. Though getting to around lvl 20 doesn't take that long. But I think I'll stick with sorcerer.

Well, my main is an Altmer Sorcerer, whose father was in the Psijic Order, so he's pretty stoked about heading home along with his friend, an alt Altmer Templar. Then last week, I made an Altmer Warden. To me, Warden makes good sense for a High Elf because Altmer love beautiful things and animals are beautiful (well...usually). So, I'll have 3 Altmers heading to Summerset and I've already done the intro quest on two of them.
