how about an 'i have a credit/debit card' achievement?
The forums also accounts for about 1% of the playerbase or something stupid, I did a thread a while back with stats.jedtb16_ESO wrote: »jedtb16_ESO wrote: »you can buy stuff from the crown store....

The overwhelming majority of players do not.
Do you not think all that hard work and dedication deserves some recognition?
can you link your source for the bit i put in bold please.
speaking as someone who qualifies for both.... what hard work?
dedication....hmm.
Theres been numerous polls in this forum about buying research scrolls or mount training. The majority say they don't buy them. You can look them up yourself.
Where's your source that that 9 traits isn't hard work and dedication? Is a year/year and a half not long enough to qualify for your standards?
Furthermore, being able to buy these things doesn't diminish individual achievement unless you are an elitist who thinks things should be done the "hard way" simply because you had to. How other people get their traits or training shouldn't have any bearing on how you value your achievements.
I say this as someone with max mount on 8 of my characters and four 9 trait characters, and I got them all the "hard way".
Please.

That's the number out of 10million (accounts) which have made a single post on these forums.
Whilst not everyone is doing it, I know a number of people who work hours which stop them feeding mounts every day for months, as such they buy books to complete characters.
1% is more than enough for an accurate sample size. Real life demographic polls are done with much less.
This title is long overdue. I don't want "Dominion Hero" or any other "braggart" titles. I want something to be more down-to-Nirn, which represents me without the arrogance."Achievement - Gotta Craft Em All" - Player Title "Master Crafter"
What do you think?

yeah... demographic polls.... that's what gives them validity.
the polls here are not demographic...therefore no validity.
I would also like titles for each craft you get to 50!
Examples: Blacksmith, Enchanter, Alchemist, Woodworker, Chef, and Tailor.
As well as achievements and titles for mastering a weapon skill line!
Like "Archer" or "Marksman" for Bow, and "Ambidextrous" for Dual Wield.
I like titles! I WANT MORE!!

Wow, ok. First of all, every poll here is aimed at a certain demographic. It's always looking for certain players answers.
Second, your entire post here makes no sense. The polls here are just as valid as a poll anywhere else on the Internet. It's just a way to gauge community responses.
Your uninformed opinion is the only thing here that isn't valid.

you need to understand what demographic in terms of an opinion poll means...
it's not that difficult...certainly isn't hard' but it is precise.
you want to run a poll on a population of (for the sake of debate) 100 000 people.
1% is an acceptable sample... there are other methods but they can be hard.
the first thing you need to know is the demographic of the entire population. the entire socio-economic breakdown of those
100 000 people. this kind of data is available from a number of sources...
so we are looking for things (in the total population) like....
gender
marital status
parent/not parent
education status
age
employment
wage bracket
home ownership/rented/living with parents/homeless
this is not an exhaustive list... just there to give you an idea of the things necessary to establish the demographic.
so lets look at the breakdown by gender... 100 000 people, 60 000 female 40 000 male (the figures are rounded just to make it easier to understand) so our sample (of 1000) MUST include 600 females and 400 males so that it reflects the larger population. do you get the idea?
a demographic survey, a representative survey has to mirror the wider population.
this is how opinion polls are constructed and conducted (i know about it because i did a few years data analysis for a marketing company)
you cannot just throw up a poll and let random people vote and then say that's a valid result. the process just does not work like that.
the bit i put in bold?
precisely... not at all valid.

Nope. Wider demographics only matter in a wider population. That would never work in a small community such as the playerbase of a video game.

completely wrong.
the data points i gave were examples to get you thinking about what 'demographic' means.
for a video game gender is certainly valid as are things such as age, wage bracket, platform, hours played, style of play etc...
the fact remains that you cannot call a poll that allows self selection a valid snapshot of the wider populations opinion.
edit to add: that's why zos takes no notice of them.
