Unstable Clannfear cost is way too high compared to the Dragonknight equivalent

So I was theorycrafting a little bit on my newly level 50 tank sorc and I came across a major problem.

The Familiar summon cost is about 3240 on my sorc, which I thought was fair and would compensate a little bit for the fact that the pet can be killed easily in PvP. But the cost to actually squeeze this lemon is just insane: maybe 6-7k? Two squeezes and I'm out of magica. In comparison, the other big tank heal for tank DKs costs about 4k mag, isn't dependant on a pet being alive and has no cast time.

How does that make any sense?

Former Empresses: Saliva Bortschion (MagBlade), Janet From Finance (PvP MagSorc), Carla Swagan (Tank DK), Estelle Born (StamBlade), Enya Arsenal (MagPlar), Anita Nurse (Magplar Healer), Bearback Brigitte (Magden), Rachel Justice (MagDK), Nicole From Payroll (Stamden), Bailiff Belinda (PvE MagSorc), Féline Dion (StamDK), Septic Tank Tina (Necro Tank)

The runts: The Trolly Spirit (Tank Sorc), Floods-Your-Basement (Warden Healer) Dinah Asthma (Magcro), Total Top Tony (Stamcro)

The traitor
s: Janis Javelin (Stamplar, EP), Barbecue Becky (Magblade Healer, AD)

PvE: Gryphon Heart, Immortal Redeemer, Flawless Conqueror

play style for both class's is very difference to start of and Mag dks generally have very exspensive skills elsewhere. so i dont see why the sorc pet needs to be have a nerfed cost, furthermore you can use your shields such as healing warden and the sorc shield to heal your pets.

What. Since when mDK had a real pet? Just a floating ball of flame that doesn't proc necropotence benefits. These skills are totally different for different purposes.

Are you comparing clanfear to dragon blood?

If so, dragon blood scales with spell damage, max magica and then missing health. Clanfear is a straight % heal based on health is it not? Like 35%. So totally different skills.

He is comparing the clanfear heal, which is always 35% of your health, to green dragons blood, which is 33% of your missing health. There is a huge difference in that.

    Edit, PvP half those values.

Assuming you are referring to Green Dragon Blood, you're comparing apples and Toyotas.

why are you running a petsorc in PvP anyway??

a petsorc is awesome in PVE, you can do lots of content solo with these pets, and be outstanding, but going PvP with a petsorc??? not my way, but you are free to do

Course you can.. I wouldn't choose that pet though, but PVP petsorc is definitely doable

If you want a pet that does healing, I'd suggest the Twilight Matriarch. Of course, both options are big fat targets in PVP, so YMMV.

It's for Sorc Tanking, so the damage bit is kind of irrelevant to what I'm trying to do.

Yeah, for a supposedly "tank" ability, it's stupidly expensive
