What is even the point of playing the game if you aren't even going to play the game?
Just get everything for free?
Based on your position, CP points shouldn't be distributed to alts immediately. Fine. ZoS, please remove all CP from players who didn't "earn" them on the alts.
This is the issue. It has nothing to do with "gimme", but more to align what's already been given to us: faster alt creations.

Sounds good to me. Can you arrange for ZoS to do this tomorrow? That would be excellent. Cheers. This is the issue. It has nothing to do with "gimme", but more to align what's already been given to us: faster alt creations.
Faster alt levelling was a "gimme". This is just suggesting taking yet another step down that path. This is a "gimme". No thanks.
Endgame is the problem. Instead of being something to keep players busy until the next batch of content is released, it has now become a goal in, and of, itself. There is a palpable rush to get to endgame, I've lost count of the number of posts here (and in zone) about speed levelling, or grinding out CP or gear farming... all for endgame.
Here's a solution I posted before: An endgame server.

What is up with everyone saying NO? Does it hurt you if Zos gives everyone the option to make gathering Skyshards / Mage Guild lore books easier?

Yes, the accomplishment that my characters have gone through to get their skyshards and lorebooks would be rendered meaningless ... because a forum-goer thinks they don’t have time and prefers playing the “it’s not fair” card instead.

What casual are you talking about?? I am working on my 2nd account have 3 max level characters (only cp 240 now) and my fist account I have 11 max level characters. The only thing I ever dread about making new characters so I can extend my play time in this game is gathering Skyshards and Mage guild Lore books. I have almost wanted to give up several times and play something else and I know I am not alone on this.
Do you know what happens to mmo's that become tedious and boring especially when it comes to leveling ALTS? They eventually die out because people get burned out on doing those tedious task. Plus you can't really skip those either because they are very much needed in order to get the most out of our characters.
Plus how in the world does the fact that my 8th magicka toon getting his/her skyshards and lore books faster diminish your accomplishment of getting those same things?? I would have had to do the exact same thing you did at some point anyways!!
We can level fighters guilds skills very fast right now and I don't hear anyone screaming "SLOW IT DOWN" all because it took them longer on their first toon than it does now.
Undaunted still takes awhile to level up but at least it can be fun even it I have done those dungeons a hundred times over.
The game has been out 3 years now on Console and it is time Zos steps up and changes things for Skyshards and Mages Guild lore books once we have done both at least once!!

You see, for you, running the dungeons over and over is fun. For other people it isn't. For me, finding skyshards on a new character is one of the best things about having a new character. Dead skyshards are sad skyshards.
If you are on your umpteenth character, you should by now have streamlined the process and realized that you only need a minimum of skill points for a build, and you will get over half of those simply by leveling to 50.

Skyshards and Lorebook hunting is part of the MMO grind aspect of ESO. It makes it so that for new players there is always veteran players as well that need to do that content and it also makes it so that veteran players don't have yet another advantage in the game above CP.
Imagine going into Kyne and all of a sudden every single Lvl 10 Sorc has Meteor unlocked out of the gate without having to even do anything. Not only an advantage over new players but Stamina players as well which would still have to grind for Dawnbreaker.
Personally I think CP should be disabled as well until you're LvL 50 on a new character. It would put an end to max CP players standing around dueling noobs on their alts.

No, you have to get the skyshards first and then you unlock them in your acct. There is no engaging gameplay in redoing the skyshard hunt after the first time.

What is up with everyone saying NO? Does it hurt you if Zos gives everyone the option to make gathering Skyshards / Mage Guild lore books easier? No it does not!! This is a real pain in the butt for people on Consoles who don't have addons to help us out. It is boring and tedious and by no means "Playing the game" as you would say. 'Playing the Game" for some of us means running dungeons, PvP'ing , completing new DLC content... NOT running around old zones we have seen a thousand times over just so we can collect a few things we need to be competitive..... SO boring!!
Once again for all you people saying no... just turn the option off and continue doing it the old way if that is what you consider "Playing the game"!

I'm a casual player and I NEED the game to develop based on my casual gameplay. Please. Please ZOS. I do not have time to collect those books and shards because I am too busy and I play casually. I need the world to adapt to my lifestyle. It's my entitlement. This is the 21st century. Everything should be easy. Look. I even copy builds without putting much though on them because I play casually and do not have time to learn. As there are many casual players in the game, it should develop based on our needs, our time, our playstyle.
And ZOS, can we have all dungeon sets be made available in the local merchants? I don't have time to farm and the build I'm copying is using BiS gear. I just want to have everything easy so I can relax playing this lovely game.

I would support the account wide marking on maps for the Skyshards and Lorebooks that you have already found ( mainly for counsel users ). This would still mean that you would have to go to them, but it would be easier to find them the second time.
Those of you getting a sense of achievement from mindless skyshard farming which requires absolutely no skill what so ever and then think that we (those of us who want account wide skyshards) are some how deminishing this “achievement“ are misguided. Things like achievements, Undaunted, pvp rank etc require some sense of skill but skyshard farming is right up their with RP and should be choice.
Nothing to do with entitlement and more to do with catering to all your players. Iv stopped making new chars because I can’t be bothered to skyshard farm.
