PvE hard content end game should award BiS PvP gear bound on pick up, skins, achievements, personalities etc (in addition to shop)

PvP should award a lot of Gold for individual/group effort. Simply gold.

That way people will have to buy Chapters and play PvE.


No more DLCs. Good old chapters/upgrades. This way it would provide Zos with income.
This way they can focus on working on technical stuff.

You gotta give smthg to get smthg. Plus the game would be more meaningful.

    I'm not sure where you got the idea that PVPers don't have to play PVE content to get BIS PVP gear, personalities, achievements, and skins.

    PVPers basically have the Golden Vendor aka RNG undaunted helms and shoulder, good drop rate for transmutation crystals, and assorted PVP gear they can buy for AP most of which isn't remotely BIS for anything (just like most PVE gear is borderline useless too). Most PVPers, unless they only run Cyrodiil/IC sets or are very patient with the Golden Vendor, have to PVE for gear, skills, and passives.

    The only people who aren't paying for the DLC with crowns (bought with real money) are paying monthly for the DLC with their subscriptions. Honestly, if ZOS would focus more on the technical stuff, I'd be a lot more willing to support them with a subscription.

    As it is, I already do what you suggest, buying the DLC and chapters plus buying crowns only when on sale. But personally? ZOS has had significant technical issues over the past year and if they can't fix the server stability in PVP, can't fix known bugs in the groupfinder even after a major dungeon event, and can't roll out DLC releases smoothly in a year, I'm not sure that throwing more money at the company is going to solve those issues.

    I want a PvP skin

    A skin for Midyear Mayhem where my hands and weapons are dripping with the blood of my slain enemies would be cool.

    I suppose that Imperial City does have a skin, the one awarded as a rare drop from the Molag Bal sewer event. I forgot about that one - even though that is partially PVE.

    So, do you want to force PVP players into trials because you don't think they should get good gear from overland and dungeons?

    That seems like an odd way to make people play PVE, which they currently already do to get overland gear, dungeon gear, and trials gear/weapons. Furthermore, ZOS generally prefers players to have more options for BIS gear instead of fewer.

    Ye. Getting BiS from this ridiculously easy overland content is a joke. Whats the point of me bothering with trials? Just for the skin?

    If the game is the whole world as you say, why should I have to only get my BIS PVP from PVE trials instead of being able to make PVP builds from gear found in many places in the game? I don't think that makes sense, given ZOS' design philosophy of not wanting to pigeonhole players into a limited number of BIS sets.

    It sounds to me like you want trials gear to matter more. Its a fine thing to argue that trials gear should be buffed to BIS so that more people are encouraged to run hard end-game PVE content and get rewards commensurate with the effort.

    Where I disagree is that I think its in keeping with ZOS' vision to have a variety of sets from different sources that can be combined,to form many different viable, if not necessarily BIS, builds. Having PVP players use overland, crafted, dungeon, and trial gear sets to create PVP suitable builds is in keeping with that vision. When anything sticks out too much as BIS, ZOS tends to nerf it like hammering down a nail that sticks out too much, rather than buffing other sets to match. So your suggestion of making trials sets BIS for PVP might work in the short term, but history shows ZOS would take the nerfhammer to it soon enough once they weren't trying to sell the new content it came with.

    I am suggesting that Trials should matter more.
    Be locked behind chapters.
    No more Dlc.
    Less effort in designing 2 dungeons every 3 months.
    More effort in fixing game, add meaningful progression, attempt at balance.

    How?
    Meaningful Trials. A slice of ez themepark map addition. 1 skill line a year. Increase in $cost per 8 month chapter.
    Border line bring back subscription.

    But I want end game PvP (gold) PvE (set farming) to matter
