✭✭✭It doesn’t exist as an option on PC either. It would be nice though. In fact, you can get a taste for it if walk under something while mounted. Sometimes the camera is forced into first person view and it looks fine. Implementing that seems as simple as turning off the forced 3rd person view when mounting.3 -

I think that only happened because they suddenly became aware the fans were expecting ESO to be an Elder Scrolls game of all things. Madness, I know
Just a shame One Tamriel couldn't happen at launch too, because this game still has something of an unsavoury reputation to shake among those who don't play, due to reviews and word of mouth from the launch version of ESO.
I would also love a first person mount view like Oblivion. They might just point to the lack of it in Skyrim though and leave it be.0
