I want to buy the physical collectors edition

But I already own ESO: Morrowind so if I buy the physical collectors edition will I be able to use it to upgrade my current game and will I be able to play on May 21st? Thank you in advance

    will you be able to upgrade your current game - yes.
    will you be able to play on may 21? depends on who you buy it from. you should be able to pick it up in person on may 21 if you pre-order from local retailer. some online retailers do offer release day delivery, but they may charge extra shipping for it.

    what you will not get is an extra copy of a base game. while CE does come with it, its bundled into the key you will be redeeming. for me, I don't mind, becasue I think physical goodies are worth the price tag.

    edited just to clarify. may 21 is for pc only, regardless of whether you buy digital upgrade or physical CE.

    The physical copy, like mine is just a CD and case with a slip inside showing the activation code. The cd rom has about 340mb data on it, and thats it. Its all download. I was quite disappointed, but I can at least flaunt it around now.

    that's because there is only one version of the game and that version includes all the content, whether you get acess to it or not, so even if you do not buy summerset, your game still updates to it. ergo there is no point in putting that content on disk. however, in case of collector's edition, which is what CE stands for - you get physical collectibles. goodies. statue. map. journal. those generally tend to be the reason to buy physical editions.
