SweetFx is not a mod and it doesnt alter any game files, its just a graphics preset that changes some things like saturation and the such, same as the DarkD3 pixel shader, so i don't see that there would be any problems.

I can't see how they could ban it. They really can't ban GPU software on a PC game.

Sweetfx is an injector, and in theory an injector could be programmed to do anything. That's why we need the official word on what Bethesda thinks about it. In the end, only Bethesda's opinion on the matter counts.

I use Sweetfx for all my single player games, but won't touch it for multiplayer unless the dev's have specifically OK'd it.
I always carry dice, because that's how I roll.

ooh i'd like an official answer on this too, as above said, i use it also on offline games but wouldn't want to risk it in an mmo without express prior consent

Does SweetFx make a big difference? I've seen some comparison screenshots, and apart from darker shadows, I don't see much of an improvement.

It does, believe me. Much richer experience. No MMOs till now banned the use of SweetFX, for obvious reasons:it only manipulates your textures

You can also try Dark D3 pixel shader, it was developed for Diablo 3 for a more grim dark look, but i use it in Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World for a much more visually grim experience, i much enjoy it.

Just select the preset you want on the site and hit download, put it in your game folder and thats it.

I have an NVidia GPU. That's the only difference I see.

The instructions for Nvidia will vary, but I had to use an application (Radeon Pro) and force some settings. probably there is something similar for Nvidia
