I've been reading around, but have not found any answer when it comes to CP in the new DLC.

Question: Does the new summerset DLC add 30 more extra champion points for upgrades?

    We don't know yet.

We only know the big game features right now. Will have to wait for PTS/Beta for info on base game changes.

I feel like I'm never going to be CP cap. :'( This last 60 is killing me. I'll probably JUST hit 720 when Summerset hits, then have to play catch-up yet again...

    Sigh.

Nooo, don't increase again. I just hit 300 like a few days ago, I feel so slooooow. xD What is max now anyways? I've seen some 900CP running around. I thought 720CP was max.

We will not know if the CP cap will be raised with this expansion or any DLC until patch notes are released unless Zos chooses to say something earlier. They would not say something in response to this thread.

720 is max you can spend afaik. I already saw players with more than 1000 CP.

If you only have that many more to go you’ll probanly hit cap within the Summerset DLC phase and be ready for the next cap if you don’t already meet it. Once you hit cap you stop thinking about it and before you know it you’re set for many dlcs and chapters to come.

    ...almost certainly!

They did state they would raise the cap with every annual quarter release, so it certainly will be raised with sumerset as well.

It's quite easily to rack up CPs in between DLC/Chapter release. We get CP cap increase with every DLC (and chapter), right? That's practically every 3-4 months. You can easily get 1 CP for just an hour of gameplay a day, as a casual player. That's 7 CP in a week. 28-31 CPs a month; times that by 3-4 months, and you clearly exceed far beyond the cap. I do the dailies in Mournhold, then the WBs in Gold Coast, followed by the dailies in CWC during Enlightenment. That takes about half an hour or so, and I get a CP every time, and just from the dailies (or chores, ha ha.) I may also hit the dailies in Craglorn, Wrothgar and Morrowind, depending on the mood. Also, you can, or if you put in more hours on the weekend or days off, you can easily rack up 3, 4 or more CPs in a single day gameplay doing other things like trials or grinding dolmens.

Do random normals on all toons during an exp event. Also use experience pots during.

Ahhh, yes, double XP events; that will work. The only time I use XP scrolls or pots, though, are when I need to level up new skillsets faster; not really targeting for the CP increase, but sure I'll take the increase along the way. I'm good with just a measly CP per gameplay. I, and like so many others that have been playing ESO for years, are far beyond the cap. Yeah, my comments were just for casual playtime, which ESO has been for me since One Tamriel. There are plethora of ways to increase CPs during a gameplay. For those more than casual, they can rack up 5 or more CPs per gameplay. However, with a job/career and other stuffs going on in real life, it's not that easy to put in the time on ESO.

The diminishing returns are one thing, but I for one would like to see "sub-stars" in the various constellations to further diversify ones boni - but where you can only ever pick -one- of the various choices!
Like... we have one that adds to all staves, give it sub-stars for the four kinds, let people pick one element or esto option to specialize in; and we have one that adds to all weapons, give it sub-stars for all kinds as well; we have stars that add to elemental resistance, let people have sub-stars that help them resist one element in particular; we have stars that make stealthing cost less, have sub-stars that also give resistance against this or that detection method; we have stars that add to armor, give them sub-stars that add to one armor feature as well, and so on...

The raise the cap every DLC and chapter, don't see why this would be any different.

Its not difficult to get ahead of the CP cap. As an example, I am over the cap, so I gain CP the slowest, but still I average 1.5CP a day or so with these steps:

    1. Log on, and go pick up daily pledges
    2. Queue for a random vet dungeon and complete it...if you are lucky it will also be one of the pledges
    3. Complete any remaining pledges
    4. Log off

That is literally all it takes.

I started playing November 2016... Every time I get so very close to CP cap (15 or so cps away) them BAM they up the cap!

I DIDN'T COME HERE TO PLAY POKEMON WITH THE GOSH DARN CPS!!!

gotta catch them all... oh wait nope they came out with 200 new pokemans... better catch them all oh NOPE got 130 more now............... >.>

But generally I do like that ZoS allows end game players to have a sense of... progression? Might not be the right term, but nonetheless a necessary evil.

i'm not doubting your statement, but the wisdom behind it...

if they continue to raise the cap, we'll eventually reach reach a point (at 1080 max-assignable CP) where every Champion Perk will be available to anyone with no interest in specialization (though at current rates this will happen in early 2021, if i didn't make a mistake). i guess that's not that soon, and it'll likely be better to specialize to some degree for a while still, and all of this is barring a revamp to the CP system, which i expect would happen before that 1080 thing...

so i guess i'm actually not opposed, but i'm deciding to share my numbers anyway
