Will we ever see...

A proper search function implemented into guild traders (if this will remain the official means of buying/selling)? I'm certain this has probably been discussed and asked for a zillion times, but have we ever gotten an answer about it? Why are we not able to search for the exact items we want to buy in a guild trader rather than sifting through garbage via color and item type? This is NOT that hard to program and I'll gladly donate my time to do so if it means something actually gets done about it ffs. I've played this game since launch and no matter how many times I am forced to search through countless motifs and furnishings, it never becomes less of an annoyance. Stop wasting our time and fix this please....or is this one of those things where they hope guild trader frustrations simply lead to people picking it up for crowns instead?

It has been talked about a lot, there is in fact a thread open on the first page of recent already talking about it.

As to if ZOS will do it, who knows. The entire Guild/Bank/Store system is long overdue for an update.

This is similar to what I mentioned, but a step further. I don't mind if we continue with guild traders since that seems to be the route they want to go, however, what I would really like to see is the ability to actually search through each guild trader individually with tags/exact item names. It doesn't have to be ALL guild traders. I'll settle for going from location to location and searching that way because anything beyond that makes the trader functionality completely illegitimate.

FOR EXAMPLE: If I want to purchase Minotaur Helms then please don't make me waste my time sifting through 87 pages of other motifs because some people may list it under or over the current market value. This gives those of us who are at that specific store looking to buy it absolutely NO indication as to where to find said item in the item list...if it is even there at all. Give us a list of sellers, prices, amount of time listed, etc. that will allow me to choose which one I buy with ease. There is no need at all to get rid of the current system that is already in place...just add a search bar text box that also allows us to search for an item by typing in a tag or name.

There are so many variables that already factor into who gets which sales and who can find what items in each trader so let's eliminate those. Things such as the first letter/number in a seller's gamertag playing a role in how the guild stores displays the item list is completely unnecessary and absurd. The only things that should play a role in the search database are price, item name/type, color, amount of time listed...relevant things. This will help buyers and sellers alike.

**P.S.** If I walked into Walmart tonight and saw all of their items mixed together in a pile on the floor OR separated by price rather than department, I'd turn my happy ass around and walk right back out to go somewhere else. This is essentially the system we have in ESO currently. An even better example of this would be for Amazon to only allow us to search by color or BROAD type of item. I'm pretty sure they'd be out of business. Please, for the love of the 8 fix this...before you add in 40 more motifs and 76,000 more furnishings. If my toon could start fires, he would be an arsonist by now.

It sounds like what you're looking for is the base functionality which many have asked for (and should have been there to start with).

PC players have an add-on called Awesome Guild Store which basically revamps the entire UI to give search, filters etc.

Consoles however are stuck with the standard terrible UI which is why I always say we can fix a lot of peoples woes by just updating the current system and UI.

That's almost exactly what I'm referring to. I haven't played on PC in a long time, but I'm very close to going back to it.
