Benefits of doing veteran dungeons?

Hey guys,

So I recently came back to ESO after being away for a while and I'm about to hit level 50 with my new character and from what I can see the only reason to run veteran dungeons is for the hardmode for pledges?

The gear is the same - same stats, same CP160 level. Am I missing something here?
I was so used to running veteran dungeons with my main that I never reflected upon this, but have normal dungeons always given the same rewards?
Is there even a point to running veteran dungeons aside from the challenge?

I'm genuinely wondering.

Thanks in advance!

You only get purple rings and necklaces from Vet. Plus, in theory, more transmute stones from et and hard mode.

Chests also have better stuff - no normal ones

Wow that was fast. I guess that sort of expains it then.
Never even thought about the monster helmets not being in normal!

Now that you mention it, I already knew all of these things but had somehow forgotten.
    Oh well.

Thanks for the fast answers guys.

    6. Fun
(depending on your skills as a player and on your group, and depending on the dungeon. Normal dungeons are boring as hell if they're too easy for you and your group).

    ^^ this

Hard mode Vet DLCs are about the only (except Trials, vMA or vDSA) overland content content that challenges reasonably experienced people. Even then, few DLC Vet runs are too hard - some are just RNG fests in hard mode but you suck it up and live with it. We mostly run them with 1 tank and 3 DDs now, poor healers relegated to knitting (I used to main as a healer).

The 2 new dungeons on Vet mode are just lovely - real fun and my favourite ones. Those and White Gold Tower.

also, remember to stock up on keys so that when they update the next chapter you don't have to wait to get the dlc selling OP monster set that will no doubt come with it.

Some Vet DLC dungeons also have the chance of dropping motif pages on the boss, technically normal also has a chance but I think the drop rate is pretty abysmal on normal.

Vet dungeons for leveling up undaunted on alts. DLC vets I don't touch unless I'm drunk (which is actually worse) or it's the few I like and can do. But it depends what I feel like basically, normals are so easy it's insulting.

    - Monster head from the last boss
    - Purple jewelry instead of blue (blue armor & weapons can be upgraded)
    - For daily pledge hard mode is active only in veteran, so you can get 2 keys instead of 1 for the pledge
    - Horns of the Reach and Shadows of the Hist dungeons drop motif pages (very small chance on normal, 100% chance if you do the hard mode); no motif in Dragon Bones yet, but I've heard some furnishings drop there.

They are more challenging and therefore more fun. What fun is there in nuking normal bosses?
