As long as you are not trying to make crafters out of your alts skill points are not hard to get.

Been here since launch..... well mostly lol... never saw any point in grinding, I do quests, dungeons, explore, craft, read books, the whole show. The cp just keeps piling up. What possible reason is there to grind? My latest baby charecter is chewing her way through the dominion zones and the skill points are pretty much keeping up with what she is unlocking through xp and that’s with just using gear that drops, she doesn’t even have training traits on the gear.

First and foremost you must remember that eso was never, ever meant to be a sprint, it’s a marathon, the journey is the whole point. The end game stuff is only there to keep the minority happy and give everyone else something long term to aim at, if you want a game in a hurry this simply is not it. It’s also why I love it :)

End gamers aren't a minority there thousands of raiders of varying degrees of skill on pc na. If dps added what OP suggested how would it negatively affect you at all? Especiallyif your given the option to opt out. I have no reason to ever run quest again or skyshards but I do the bare minimum for new toons that I level. I understand and respect your way of gaming please try and respect ours too.

Leveling a character is not really a big deal you can go as slow or as fast as you want, the biggest pain in the a@#$ is leveling the mages guild skill line in getting all those lore books.

Well that is cause you are a magika character, to Stamina characters leveling fighters guild is also a mega pain along with trying to get vigor and caltrops for PvE players or PvP players getting undaunted.

That is not even considering the gear grind, but i guess this should be fair if RNG was a bit better.

In general this game is the most pain getting a character to competitiveness compered to other MMOs.

How is leveling Fighters guild a mega pain? All you have to do is run a zone's three dolemen circuit for a couple of hours, it's not difficult at all and I find it to be a lot of fun, especially if there's a large group involved. Also, you can earn the 'Daedric Lord Slayer' title if you get all the generals and the 'General Executioner' achievement.

I found getting Vigor and Caltrops not so bad, I switched my StamSorc to magicka healer and went in and spent a few hours just healing zerg groups... it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Now, if you're the type who starts a new character every week, then yes, I can see how all of this would be frustrating. Mages Guild on the other hand, talk about a pain... you basically have to go through almost every alliance zone collecting books before you can reach level 10; they should award points towards maxing these skill lines when completing the quest lines! As it is now, there is really no incentive to complete the quests- unless you want access to the crafting locations or want to ship Valaste to Uncle Sheo to get two extra skill points.

This is interesting. The problem here is two-fold:

    1 ) PvP'ers not wanting to PvE.

    2) PvE'ers, typically being more MMO purist, are generally opposed to leveling shortcuts.

So in other words, you can't appease one group without offending the other.

It's like the middle east conflict except with video games.

    So who is Israel then?

    Don't grind...problem solved.

What is the hurry? There isn't some super amazing late game you have to build towards. Okay fine you have done these same quests 12 times but I don't see how that is more boring than killing a million zombies.

Both are boring, but one takes 6 hours and one takes 100 hours, its obvious people dont level by grinding because its fun.

6 hours? Im many other mmos you would be nowhere close to the max level in those 6 hours.

no gring is stupid is having to do a dungeon around a 100+ to get a destroy staff and I'm glad I didn't have to worry about the trait I know what would solver this a token system and they can still keep the drop rates like they are for people who get lucky
