You used destro ult and like 4 other skills on a delve boss. What exactly did you expect? And let me guess, youre in gold equipment and maxed out cp too.

Maybe just maybe you can leave some stuff for the non cp non optimised new players. This stuff wont be a walkover to them. Its not as if delve bosses were ever meant to be a challenge to a maxed out player.

Go do a vet dlc dung if youre that bored.

You completely missed the OP's point. I dont do overland quests...you know why? Its way too easy, I mean on my pure TANK I was able to kill enemies just fine in Morrowind's main quest...it didnt even feel particularly slow on a toon that puts out a whopping 5k DPS. Obviously, new players need easy overland content...thats not in dispute. It would be much better if they added some type of OPTIONAL vet mode for overland content...this vet server would drop blue and up quality gear, with a rare chance to drop gold items(yes, jewelry included) as the draw to people for doing the content on that difficulty level

yes, I get that overland isnt meant for endgame...but why not? I would like to do the quests...but its pointless if the difficulty isnt there...I have only done a small fraction of the quests in this game.

Content is pretty easy with 720 champion points.

Not all players have this. So many people forget their humble beginnings.

Me. I started with an atrocity of a build. I did zero research. Content was hard.

    Nord...Mag Templar. Dual wield/Resto staff.

    Ashen grip armor (Cool flames!!)

Actually in my opinion two separate player bases won't serve any purpose other than subjective feeling of select few that they are too good for regular stuff. New players won't get benefit of having veteran players around and elite players would roam in practically empty world.

The main issue isn't overland content difficulty, the issue is power creep, compounded by CP. Without CP, the game is decent, especially for newer players. Having said that, it's not as good as it used to be in beta/early release, difficulty-wise. Remember how people were asking for tips to kill Doshia? Or how to survive in Craglorn? You seldom get topics like that any more.

It is my firm belief that the CP system has got to go. It was ill conceived when it was a VR system. It is still very bad now, with lateral power creep already very noticeable in PvP. It only gets worse each time they raise the CP cap, which they for some reason insist on doing like clockwork. If this is not addressed, eventually the system will break, it's only a question of when, not if.

And before anyone asks, yes, I'm CP capped. Have been CP capped for a long, long time. And I still want to see CP gone almost as much as I want to see Wrobel replaced.

People are weirdly contentious about this.

I'm personally fine with seeing high-CP players scaled down a bit in overland PvE, in the same way that low-level players are scaled up. It'd keep questing interesting on new characters or new zones. I'm with you, OP.

Incorrect in part. There would be plenty of vet players around the regular zone. The fact is the vast majority of the playerbase does NOT want difficult content, and this is just fine. Your are correct the vet-version would be fairly empty...and that is just fine, thats how Craglorn used to be and it wasnt a problem, most avoided it, while a few spent their time enjoying the difficult content....the difference with pre-nerf craglorn, is that veteran overland would be single-player quests vs. multi-player quests, so it would have marginally more appeal. Besides, it would be nice to go into a public dungeon and actually be able to fight bosses alone instead of having 20 people camping them.

Matter of preference, I guess. I like the way overland content is now. Others don't. It's down to ZMax to decide what to do, who to cater to. I doubt there will be any changes to Overland aside from, remote "maybe" a toggle of some sort.

If you like it as it is now, I can sympathize with you. I'd like a clarification, though: do you currently find the overland content to be a cakewalk, or is it a challenge for you?

If it's a cakewalk, and you like it that way, then we simply disagree (which is fine).

If it's a challenge for you, then the change I'd like to see ideally wouldn't impact you. What I want is for characters with very high/max CP and high armor bonus to be scaled down for overland content, while those with low/middling CP and low gear bonus would remain pretty much as they are.

Some is a bit challenging with certain classes, some is a cakewalk with certain classes. I'm a far better "ranged" player than melee so when I play ranged, especially with a pet or pets, it's far easier for me than melee.

So...the answer is, too many variables to land on either.
