Removal of Anvil Outlaw Refuge Bank service without mention in patch notes?

    Heya,

Since the release of Dark Brotherhood we could enjoy Guild Bank services in the Anvil Outlaw Refuge. This was a great addition, I thought, to the area since it was unique and made sense in the grand scheme of things with the amassing bounties of that area. It made sense for it to be there since Anvil is full of outlaws and the local government is corrupt. Even the banker in the Refuge says that the locals have said they won't make trouble for her.

But unfortunately I visited today and I found that the guild bank services were removed, presumably with the Dragonbones DLC? Is that a bug? Or was it a bug that the guild bank services were available in the Outlaw Refuge there? In any case there is no mention of it anywhere in the Patch notes afaik.

Anyone else noticed it? Do you want it back? Do you think it was meant to be there and then removed? Or do you think it wasn't meant to be there and they finally removed it? ZOS people can we have it back? It was a nice addition.

To be fair, would you really want to store your valuable items in a sewer? :D

Best place to store them. Nobody robs a sewer.

The are among the safest places in Tamriel, can't even steal a sweet roll in them. Look at the banks and all the chests stolen on a daily basis in them. Which of these two inspire greater confidence of safety?

Hated that they changed this. It's been known openly for so long, mentioned in numerous guides. To have just changed it without comment or even a retort as to why on the forums. This just does not make sense.

    It’s the latter, @LMar.

Even the Moneylender in the Thieves Guild Den (Hew’s Bane) doesn’t have guild bank services.

But, as was mentioned above, the regular bank is very close by ... and avoiding the guards is pretty easy.

Sure it's possible. But Hew's Bane has a legit government while Anvil is basically an outlaw city with a pirate queen governor :p

I regularly visit Coldharbor but its not really the same xD. Also, the Hollow City is a beacon of light in Coldharbor so not quite the dark side xD

Dragon Knights Whip being Undogeable was apparently a Bug that remained in the game for... How long again? Hmm...
I wonder what sounds more likely?

A useful feature they removed silently with no explanation?

A useful "bug" they didn't bother to fix for a very long time only to suddenly fix it when no one was expecting it and everyone had grown accustom to it?

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know this change was done on purpose, but we inadvertently missed the patch note for it. Apologies for the confusion it caused! The Anvil Outlaw Refuge will now operate the same as all other Outlaw Refuges.

... Which begs the question, why can't guild banks and one's guild stores be accessed from Outlaw Refuges? Why is the service offered in such "establishments" no better than Tythis Andromo?

If you need to "avoid the guards" to get to a regular bank, chances are you'll be unable to use said bank.

The guards in the bank would interrupt you in their attempt to collect the bounty. No big deal if its a tiny bounty, but if you can't or don't want to pay, that's a problem. And if you are considered a KOS fugitive, the Bankers in the regular banks won't even talk to you.

But that's what the moneylenders in the Outlaw Refuges are for. Except that you have no way to access your guild banks through them. So if you have stuff you want to put in the guild bank(s), tough cookies. You'll have to either pay the bounty, use pardon edicts, or wait it out before you can talk to regular bankers again.

Yea, I think they should make the outlaw refugees somehow more attractive, to keep up with the loading times associated with them.

now they did, then that was a bug that took 2 years to fix.

@ZOS_GinaBruno since this a topic regarding NPCs in outlaw refuges, there was a fence removed from the Riften one so there is only one in there now when all others have 2. Any word on this?

Holy hot damn, they are human and make mistakes? Never would have guessed from the Atronach miscommunication, the MoL whiskers thing, or the several other mistakes.

I also never would have guessed that people on the internet take non-agressive non-offensive comments like a personal attack.

They’ve made a reasonable amount of mistakes recently, and they can be slow clearing them up.
My comment was hardly out of line.

People are well within their rights to hold others accountable for a recent chain of errors as long as they don’t get overtly hostile or step out of line.
    Much wow.

I would personally suggest circulating the patch notes around as a quick memo. If everyone took around three minutes to look over the sections they are directly involved in and double check wording and make sure things they worked on are correct, it might help?
It could at least help clear up issues that are vague and reduce the chances of missing details.
