Game performance is terrible this evening!

I don't know what is going on with servers, but game is barely playable EVERYWHERE!

I talked with guild mates and they confirmed the same. Some even said they had problems logging.

My ping is 120-170 ms, and jumping to 270+ ms. In towns, it's contantly 140+ ms.
Normally, it's 80-90 ms.

Video performance is absolutely terrible!

Hew's Bane was packed with people last weekend and in open field my fps never dropped below 40.
Now? I stand on coast and fishing and I have 30 fps and there is nobody!
I tp-ed to town and it has 20-24 fps.

I tp-ed in several other zones and my fps drops in major towns to 16 fps which I never encountered.
Even more - no matter where I go, fps can't go above 50 fps and I stand alone! And I always have it 60+ easily, unless it's packed with players.

Entered delve, and can't brake 40 fps, and in Delves I always have 70+ fps!
And casting some abilities seriously tank fps for several seconds even further.

Everything is laggy, even interface.
Something is seriously messed up with servers.

I can confirm EU PC loading times for delves are incredibly long. I just got stuck trying to finish quest in the Orrery. Every time I try to enter I end up on an endless loading screen

i play on medium settings and the only place i have a max 3 seconds delay is in Vivec in a full fight.

Anecdotal, but something weird has been going on with routing for me since earlier this week. I have comcast in Michigan and my connection has always been fine, but since monday my ping has been around 150-200ish instead of the normal 90-100, but with what seems to be jumps in latency and/or packet loss, causing me to miss heavy attacks and animation to get messed up, so it's more than just lag.

I've had to recently purchase a vpn from wtfast to get around this which seems to fix the routing issues, but having to pay an extra $10 to play the game normally isn't something I'm too happy about.

Not sure if this is on Comcast's end or what, but I hope it's fixed soon.

It's called "fairness". Now you have ALMOST the same crap experience as the rest of us.
Some players would be EXTREMELY HAPPY with a 40/270 performance aspect.

Call back when you have 16/375. You might get more sympathy then. You should try playing with 1/999+.

I've had no problems tonight on PC EU server through ZOS from the UK, including loading in and out of a delve in 20 seconds or less. Have your problems resolved themselves, otherwise with so few other reports maybe the cause lies elsewhere than the server - perhaps Steam, an ISP, or the network between client and server?

PC-EU been really poor the last 30mins - taking minutes to draw doors and then load into the instances

but the ping to the server farm is a very stable 35ms, which is normal for me!

I noticed the same. I play every other day on EU, and never had the odd delays like today. Not textures loading, but lag spikes and delays in areas I never really do. Speaking with npcs, ANY npcs, also interacting with crafting stations, accessing bank etc.

Nothing new or shocking here

Performance has been bad for years, they will continue to bury their heads in the sand since everyone are still silly enough to keep buying crown crates and supporting their corporate behavior.

The performance in this game is so *** that i just died at a lumbermill in cyrodil because i walked up to 3 guys but there was like 10 other players that werent rendered in. And im on xbox so its not my PC. The games unplayable tonight in either campaign on xbox. Im in shor and its terrible, vivec is worse. This games going to ***.

PS4 NA yesterday: game froze on a loading screen while porting into TG.

Another time after restarting (can't remember why I had to restart), I was rubberbanding, then after a few secs being put back to where I was before rubberbanding. Very disconcerting.

Plus played in Vivec for several hours = the last time I was PvPing, I did so on PS4 EU, prior to I think CWC and it was terrible. Any time there was more than 20 players in the same area, I would disconnect.
Very happy to say that yesterday I went a very long time without disconnecting, but as it got closer to (what I assume is) NA peak time I got more and more frequently disconnected. The last straw was a disconnect <1 min of restarting. But I wasn't getting any more lag than usual for Hew's Bane during the event. Which is to say, I'd see a rune node, go to harvest it and get the message "Someone else is using that" - and THEN the player character loaded in. -_______________-

Just to report what happened in Monday later that evening/night.

My FPS returned to normal, ping was ok (~80-100 ms) but my game twice completely froze which I never encountered! I could only move but was stuck in one position.

I attacked zone boss and everything froze except I moved. I was stuck in casting Lethal Arrow. Only legs moved. After 1 min, I got dropped into Login screen with some Server error login when I tried to log in. Second time I was put in queue? Third time managed to log in and I logged dead...

Actually, I reported in other thread in February that I had famous 999+ ms ping.

I both don't understand and admire people who play with 200+ ms ping. I play(ed) some other games with that ping, but ESO is so laggy when it's 120+ ms.
