Are all magplars considered healbots?

I've mained a magplar since launch. He's the only character I play although I have 8 characters. Seems that if a magplar casts BOL they are called a healbot. Heals are a templars survivability though. In pvp if you stand still generally you die. So they made templars self buffs all ground cast aoes smh and all Templar attacks channels. So yeah if a Templar goes on defense it's cleanse bol rinse and repeat. Meanwhile when a Templar goes offensive we move slow as hell while channeling. It's like being perma snared almost. Cast dark flare, jabs (to a lesser extent) or radiant and you'll know what I mean. We have 0 mobility outside of elusive mist which is a dumb skill. They took away our major mending and our most of our utility (rip repentance and shards). Just wandering what classifies a Templar as a healbot? I feel as though almost all classes can self heal as good if not better than magplars these days via vitality pots, crit heals from stealth on nb, major mending for warden, and shields+ healing ward. So are healbots only referring to those spamming bol from the back lines or is it just any magplar in general?

Yes they are, just becouse you heal yourself to not die, you are considered a healbot. Even when you smash them in 1v1. Without using a single BoL becouse they have so little dps that eclipse+jabs is enough.
I meme, but my memes are so truthful they hurt

Want competitive pvp while being outnumbered? Tough luck, the devs clearly said you have to die in those situations

There are some excellent magplar DPS and tanks out there. But, yeah, Templar passives are great for heals.

Probably by some people. How much do you care what they think?

ZOS has shoved magplars hard into that corner, for all the reasons you've listed. Lack of mobility and all the best offensive stuff on stamina morphs, but we have ritual and we have heals, so damn right we're going to use them, just like a magsorc is going to shield up and a nb is going to cloak. (Exceptions apply, but they're exceptions.) Our offensive capabilities seem better than they have been recently, which is good, but I think it's also true that lots of people who take magplars into Cyrodiil are choosing the "healbot" path. Better - definitely easier - options for offensive PVP.

I don't agree that other classes have better heals than we do, not even wardens. The resto ult has leveled it out a lot in PVP, and warden trees, but we still have the best stuff. So we still get the most salt, but that's just how it goes.
Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.

Yes they are despite attempts by many of them to be Dps characters or Tanks. They are also known as Radiant Destruction bots who can't stop spamming destruction.

Like Skander said, if you play magplar in pvp, you will get accused of being a heal bot. Doesn't matter if you hit HtD or not.

I feel like temps get the most salt because our defense spills over onto the whole fight. That's why I use honor the dead because it's not so much a game changer and the sustain is just too good. I dont like being classified as a healbot just because I play a Magplar. Especially when it's completely contradictory. I get pretty annoyed when I kill someone and they whisper me that I'm a healbot. My response is usually something along the lines of how did you die then bol doesn't kill people. I dunno I just hate being as you said shoved into that corner. It also gives people the misconception that playing magplar is easy mode. True healbot is cheese but playing an effective solo magplar is not as easy as some might think.

Are you doing nothing but healing, purging, and rezzing on your magplar? You might be a healbot.

It's natural. Templar is the best and most easy mode heal class. So of course all pvp scrubs pick them up and spam heals. Because you don't need to think or aim. 1 hand move and your entire group is immortal :D That's what it feels to me.

Well when ZOS guts a class and only leaves one viable (healer) option what do you expect, I would love to see them put Magplars back to their former glory when they were an actual real threat in the PVP world.

When i think healbot i think of guys who only watch health bars.

You can be offensive as a templar but you will be inferior to a sorc, nighblade and any stamina build.
