So I offer this option if you really don't like everything you have today
WE GO BACK TO DAY 1
1 million XP per level
NO MATTER WHAT LEVEL
NO MORE XP POTS
SO, we won't even have to worry about debating CP or NOT
Because you will NEVER CATCH UP THEN!!!
So, looking like you have it pretty good NOW THEN!!
YOUR Never going to get to buy XP CP not in this game.
Thanks for your time
LOL, that made me think of TERA, each level is like 1M+ exp.
Other ideas:
- Give CP allotments with each DLC
- Give CP allotments with each Chapter.
- Allow passive CP generation (5 per day)
- Make the XP per CP point a flat amount and lower the amount
- Allow XP scrolls to be "enlightenment scrolls".

Zenimax have already ruined what should have been a great game, another nail in the coffin will just bring the end a little closer.
Then they can let Bethesda get on with developing Elder Scrolls Six.

Elder Scrolls Online has nothing to do with Bethesda developing ESVI, two separate studios. And besides, Bethesda won't release ESVI until they release two major, big games first.

It's worth remembering that, because you aren't back credited, if you grind for a considerable time, then, stop, the level cap goes up, that doesn't mean you're instantly bumped up to where you would be. So you would end up in a situation where you'd have to earn more XP overall from start to cap, than "intended."
Also worth noting that there are some potential glitches in the overall math, meaning, because of rounding, it's possible you might see the XP targets shuffle. But, realistically, we're talking about a threshold of less than a daily random. If you really want, I can dig out a spreadsheet and run the values, but I don't have that kind of time at the moment.
My point is it requires more XP to go from zero to cap than it ever has in the history of the game.
Nope.
Current XP to go from 0 to 720 = 173,726,215
XP to go from 0 to 720 when CP was first introduced = 288,000,000 (720 x 400,000)
Also keep in mind that at that time, the "cap" was 3600 CP.
The argument is when the cap is raised the required amount of XP is greater. You obviously couldn't spend 720 point pre Dragon Bones.
The statement as follows are what the argument is about.
More XP is required to go from zero to cap than ever before.
More XP is required to go from zero to cap than when the cap was 690.
More XP is required to go from zero to cap than when the cap was 500.
We're disputing the amount required to go to max spendable points. You're modifying the argument to make your self right.

Odd. The ones I've known who indulge in this sort of thing are definitely NOT the casuals. They're the sort that don't want to deal with all the interim stuff and get straight to the end-game "good stuff".
They should all wear jester costume because that's what they are.
Which? The casuals or the end-gamers?
Actually, neither because both are perfectly valid playstyles and this nonsense of sneering at one and other really is getting old.
Those who want everything now, doesn't matter if casual or hardcore.
I would just like a quicker way to attain CP beyond the current system.

For me it’s not about wanting it ‘now’ I can only play a couple of hours max most days. Due to this it takes me an eternity to bridge the CP gap or level alts, especially as I don’t want to mindlessly grind my limited time away.
I would jump at chance to buy some CP or a pre levelled alt. Each to thier own, just give us the option!

??? A few hours a day will get you to cap and then some within a year, EASILY. You don't have to and never had to grind out cp to cap it out. Just play the game! Do quests, dungeons! Literally anything. I dedicated weeks to chest farming and decorating my house when Homestead came out and that hurt my ability to gain cp not even a little bit because even chest exp was giving me enough experience with Enlightment.
I wouldn't be so opposed to lvl50 alts so long as it required having an active lvl50 of the class you wanted the alt to be. But again, it's still no an "to each their own" option because this isn't a solo game.
People will buy their way to lvl50 max cp and then start bogging down groups because they have no idea how the game functions. That would be the norm, not the exception. New players would jump in, hit cap, get immediately blasted for being bad, and probably drop the game.

I never felt that I need to have more CP to play the game. Out of those 8 months I actually played for about 4 months just going through the base content (aka stuff you can/should play solo). Morrowind was a huge disappointment, but Wrothgar was a very nice surprise. If you want to play CP PVP or Vet HM PVE you should aim for max CP, but in that case you will spend the time needed to learn those mechanics and getting the right gear after (hopefully) spending the time to play the actual content easily getting to max CP anyway.
tl;dr: This whole thread makes it seem like there is a lot of content that is blocked off for new players by the need to have max CP. There is actually very little content that 'requires' max (or near max) CP. To be able to play that content to should spend time to learn how to play that content, so you'll get the CP along the way.
You don't need eight months to learn the mechanics of Veteran Hard Mode dungeons. Eight months to attain max level in a game is a bit ridiculous no matter how you spin it around.
A year is pretty long.... ridiculously long to get to cap.

Love how you omitted the bit where I said I spend 4 months on single player content. Granted you can skip that part, but then you don't play the game and just rush towards the end game content. In that case you should not be able to buy your CP for that. Granted you don't need CP 720 for that. You need CP 300-ish. Which is what you get by playing the game. Which is my point.

You will only weigh down your group in some of the harder content with 300 CP. Fang Lair Vet HM, Falkreath Vet HM, Bloodroot Vet HM, every Vet Trial.
That's far from "all you need".
Take this example into account, imagine if you were an individual that was skilled at MMORPGs and had mastered your class in this game but had only 300 CP. it would be a bit discouraging for you to be gated behind that CP wall to perform at your highest level or to satisfy the requirements of groups to even let you in.

You vastly overestimate how difficult endgame content is. Which, I mean, that shouldn't be particularly surprising, seeing as you haven't gotten to the point where you can attempt any of it.

Pretty much this. I still love that the Fextralife site was linked for the CP recommendations for vet trials when there's CP 300 guides out there that have better explanations. I'm no longer surprised by the OP's statements being that most of his threads are troll threads anyways.
