Dunmer (in my opinion) has always been BiS for Magicka builds. You just can't go wrong with it. I've even seen some pretty nifty Dunmer stam DKs rocking sunderflame

I plan on making one myself. Have a set of BSW body pieces, vMA inferno staff, IA jewelry and Inferno staff, and a Grothdarr set sitting in my bank, which would be pretty nice for it.

These probably aren't BiS sets, but it'll probably still be a decent enough set up.

I do run Impen Elf Bane on my Dk. Elf Magplar too, awesome!

If its for pve delate the char. Mdk is dead since morrowind. For pvp, just hold block 24/7 and spam talons and inhale.

MDk is out of trial meta. Pretty much no one will want you in a trial group. But it still rocks in any 4 men dungeons. And it is real fun in pvp.

I run a 5l/1m/1h setup. SnB front bar, inferno staff backbar.

2 Valkyn Skoria
5 Innate Axiom
5 Silks of the Sun

I plan to swap Valkyn for Domihaus once I get the helm. That’s a lot of magicka, stamina and damage...

Silks+Innate+Domihaus=1000 spell damage added to all your class flame abilities.

My resistances are ~24k on my SnB bar... and I that’s in light armor!

I crafted him some level 30 Innate Axiom to try it out the day before last. Excellent input.

For PvE I ran (prior to patch dnd changing to Stam) 5 BSW, 4 MK and 2 Ilambris in a 5-0-2 setup. 41k mag, 17.1k health. 20k mag resist and 12k phys resust. Spell damage sat at 4.1k buffed with shock staff front and back (charges front and nirn back with a weapon damage glyph) and 49% Crit.

Dunmer for the race and stage 4 vamp with apprentice for the mundus.

I’ve added a link to my build below for reference. I don’t have any MA weapons and I was able to run vet trials just fine with this build. Few changes to make it viable for Dragonbones. Example if you went flame stages you could pump the spell damage up to 4.3k and change to molten whip for another 100 spell damage onto Ardent Flame skills. You’d also have swap light attacks for heavy attacks on the front bar.

This is of course a PvE build, though I’m sure it can be tweaked for PvP as well with the person behind the wheel.

5 lich (snB backbar) 5 seducer 2 slime craw and 2 willpower (DW frontbar) is what im running right now. 3 spell damage glyphs with the spell damage.

Nearly an 11k whip tooltip unbuffed and really good sustain if you can manage your heals smartly,

cDB always crits for 10k plus if your below 50% and a 20k powerlash heal. With the glitch its like 40k in PVP. right now it actually makes my Dk survive a hell of a lot longer than I should.

I put 43 points into befoul and my standard debuff is like 41% plus 5k damage every second for 27 seconds.
Really really stong for the tankier players who dont take 10k plus leaps

IDK if there is a Meta right now for MDK. There are so many good options that work.

My 2 favorites so far have been (both light armor 5/1/1):

BSW,Lich,Grothdar - DW/Resto - BG's/Small scale
Sun/Riposte/Bloodspawn - Destro/Resto - Fav solo open world setup rn go All SD, 3 Tri-Glyphs, Witchmothers

I want to try a build with Necro/Sun/Shadowrend - dw/2h...but don't wana fork up the gold for sun swords lol.

Innate Axiom seems to be another good choice. That coupled with sun...hmmmmmmmmmm

@JerzeeDevil that's a build I'm aiming for, but replacing Sunderflame with BSW.

I also have a hybrid stamDK that runs red mountain, scoria, and hundings. Tons of fun with meteors dropping and volcanos firing off!

Yea man! I have to optimize it yet, I run with all 64 points in stam and look at the rm and skoria damage as just bonus damage but this is probably either naive or ignorant. So if you have any optimization suggestions I'm all ears. Besides RM and Skoria, the build follows Alcast's venom build to a T at 280 CP's.

2 Valkyn Skoria, 5 Flame Blossom, 5 Caluurion Legacy

I actually run this on one of my mDKs... but they're not uber powerful. Just fun to play on. Flame Blossom is easily avoidable and you only shine on the fire damage from Caluurion. But if you rely on your skill (not the procs) during PVP- the procs can act as a weak "execute" that the mDK lacks.

While I gave up my magdk for the better Stam Warden build. my dk is now in a corner doing all my writs

But his sets in pvp were

5 Brass (s&b and 3 light body pieces)
5 Sun (jewelry and 2 light body pieces)
2 grothdar (1 heavy helm, 1 medium shoulder)
Resto Brass backbar

For PvE I had

5 Burning spell weave (body)
4 infallible (jewelry and staves)
2 grothdar

I do not follow streamers builds, I mean...They get paid to play the game and all...Which I do love, but I try my own theorycrafting.

I am sure some people think I'm an idiot too! (Over that, hahaha)
