Right now I'm using 5 vicious ophidian 5 twice fang serpent 1 veli shoulder 1 kena mask, all divines all gold sharpend.
Food and mundus are dubious cam throne and warrior
    All medium
i do have vigor and deadly cloak slotted

    Rotation is
Relentless focus, leaching strikes, deadly cloak, caltrops, hail, poison injection
I use weapon pots at the start and use light attack after relentless focus and leaching strikes

Firstly, you are probably going to want to run Steel Tornado in trash pulls over surprise attack (which I assume yu are running)

Your gear itself is pretty much perfect, so if you are having DPS issues, you probably want to look at your rotation.
Only changes you might want to make for optimisation is swapping weapon traits to Nirnhoned main hand and Infused off hand.

As far as boss tactics go, teamwork is key.

Most bosses up until Velidreth are pretty self explanatory. Stay out of red, light the braziers, interrupt everything.

Most of the other mechanics are things you don't really need to worry about unless you are the tank.

For Velidreth herself, you are going to want to stack the ads as much as possible so that you can kill them with cleave.
Having multiple purges slotted is pretty huge for the fight, because she has some really nasty dots, and this is another reason why you want the tank to get nommed, having peoples magicka pools gutted is going to result in a lot of deaths due to lack of purges.
When the atronachs spawn, cut DPS on the boss and focus them. You want to kill them ASAP and grab their lights. Who actually grabs the lights is up to the group.
When the boss drops you out of the arena you want to get back as soon as possible. Lighting Braziers to scare away the horvars that spawn is a pretty good tactic to start with until you are familiar with the route to run, given the doors that are open change each time.
From there, the only really dangerous mechanic is when Velidreth climbs up, and yells "don't move"
Here you want to do as she says, until you see the ground bubble under your feet, at which point you want to dodge roll in a direction away from your teammates. Failure to perform this correctly will result in impalement and death.

If there are any specific issues that you have I am happy to help with.

On HM, caltrops is a lifesaver in the maze to keep the whorevores off you.

No its not...rapids is FAR better....and casting caltrops will cause rapids to drop off. Just ignore the mobs unless you are in danger of dying and forced to cast something. That being said, since I usually run this as a tank, if someone I am running with is having trouble with catacomb mobs, I will just spam talons as needed, I suppose caltrops works as a substitute, albeit an expensive one.

Except rapids is useless in the actual fight, whereas caltrops is a very good damage ability. Caltrops cost way less than rapids too. Rapids is useless, because caltrops works for both the maze and the fight. You're slotting an ability exclusively for one small part of the fight, what a waste.

That's why you bring a Sorc who can back bar overload and rapids.

On the other hand if you are running progression, you have two people with rapids, and two with purge to actually get through in.

It's doable without them, but if you lack experience or dps, then having them will be a huge benefit

Maybe you guys haven't tried caltrops vs the hoarvores? It is really effective and saves what sounds like a lot of screwing around.

I’d suggest having Vigor for the final boss in case you need it for the catacombs. :)

What parts of th dungeon are you struggling on? That might help narrow down the advice you need.

Biggest advice that isn't well known is to have the tank never ult in the final fight. The orbs that Velidreth spawns are based on the highest resource pool of the eaten enemy. If the tank is always the one getting nommed you don't have to deal with a bullet hell of magicka or stamina drains.

For grabbing the lights at veli:
It worked best for our team if the dd's took them. The tank could( at least back in the day) get one shot by veli while he's grabbing them. (Can't say if that is still an issue, since I weren't in there for probably a half year now)

Any any advice or gear suggestions for doing veteran cradle of shadows on an imperial vamp stamblade

Talk about vague. vCoS is an easy dungeon to do, DPS doesnt even really matter as long as you have mechanics down. What exactly are you having trouble with? Dranos? Dranos is essentially a tank fight(tank either kits the boss around to make him eat his ads or chains/gates the ads in and makes the boss eat his ads), the only thing a DPS has to do is avoid the red and interrupt the ads that pin the tank.

    Velidreth is as follows:

She says "dont move a muscle" and goes up to ceiling....listen to her and STOP MOVING ENTIRELY for as long as it is dark. Once lights come back up you can start moving again, but 3 seconds after lights come back you must roll dodge to avoid being spiked. Your cue to roll dodge is simply to listen for the sound of the ceiling collapsing...when you hear it, roll dodge.

Each atro drops a torch 2 people must pick up(doesn't even matter which two regardless of what people tell you as long as 2 people use synergy to pick them up). In catacombs, make sure you have rapid manuever(or better, charging manuever) slotted, as I am dropping down into cats, I open my map, find the left-hand wall and hug it. I cast rapids and then DONT CAST ANY OTHER ABILITIES UNLESS IN DANGER because if you do(or the person you are with) rapids falls off(this is why charging is better for the cats, even if you use an ability, you still maintain 10% speed boost for a few seconds). Anyway, hug the left hand(or right hand if you prefer) wall and find the open door that leads back to the arena, avoiding the spike-traps that are red and slow you. Once you get back near the arena, before going into the doorway, kill and stray ads following you until you see the other group catch up across the way, then drop back in.

Velidreth also doesnt like to let you rez...she tries to interrupt you by spitting...the tank can interrupt the spit, but if he doesnt or isnt able to, stop rezzing, block the spit, then go back to rezzing to get the rez off.

As mentioned above, you can manipulate exactly what type of ads and orbs spawn in this fight, If you are having trouble with the magicka ads in particular, you have your magicka builds(anyone with highest resource of magicka) slot the cheapest magicka ult they can and have either the stamina builds(stam DPS) or the health builds(tank, though sometimes tanks have higher stam or magicka than health) slot their most expensive ult. The person with the cheapest ult dumps it ASAP and the person with the highest ult never dumps it....this will cause the person with the highest ult to always have that type of ad(and orb) spawn. Someone above suggested this be the tank....but the tank has a lot to control in this fight and often needs his ult to survive(as a tank I spam barrier in this fight as much as possible because I pug this a lot and heals arent always the best). This fine-tuned ad control though really is only needed if you have low DPS, average-high DPS the ads really don't matter....or rather, the types of ads dont matter as long as the DPS ALWAYS focus the ads before the boss.
