Consol 'Guild Stores' NEED Better Filtering Systesms.

I could not find a specific forum for game interfaces so I ended up here.

This appears to be an issue on PC as well but PC's can at least augment their game experience with 3rd party tools where consoles cannot.

Currently there is no way to search for a 'specific' item from the 'Guild Store' interface.

Yes it has filters that can limit your search by category... but that does not get you anywhere close to finding an item when there are 100s of motifs or rings or bow for specific 'sets'.

Yes, you can 'sort' your results... but only by 'Price' and 'Time Remaining'... both of these sort options are mostly useless unless you are just browsing for 'Random' items.

1. ) There needs to be a 'Set Type' filter so you can limit items further.
2. ) There needs to be a 'Sort By Name' option. (Even just the sort option would be a massive improvement)

For God sake ESO. How would you expect your actual customer to buy your game if their only option was to go to drive to 50 local stores and then at each store sift through a massive box of random games that sorted by how long they have been on the shelf.

That is what you are forcing your 'In Game' players to do any time they want to buy and item from a Guild Store.

It is ridicules and the Fix is super cheap to implement.

You would not only be improving the 'Buyer' experience but also increasing the likely hold that a 'Seller' will reach the right audience and all for the cost of adding a 'Sort By Name' option.

    Insert dead horse.

Seriously though, I understand it can be time consuming to actually shop for stuff. That's why I don't. I go to convenient locations like Wayrest, Mournhold or Vivec City. Sucks to be the lone shop owner in the middle of Shadowfen or some other obscure location.

Can we just get a text search box, would that be so hard?

Yes, that would also be a good solution. Just a 'Find Text' box that can be applied to the current 'Page'.

God I wish I had gotten this game on PC.

They definitely need something, it's a pain in the rear and gives me a headache searching for a specific item.... all you can hope for is that it's a legendary item, at least there are fewer to sift through.

However we don't really need more sorting options, we need a keyword search within the sorting options we already have. So if you're searching for purple motifs you type in Redoran and it shows you all those motifs. Or at least allow us to search for motifs we haven't learned yet.

Either way, whatever they do they need to do something about it. I'm not asking for a global auction house, just make it so we don't have to spend an hour sifting through a single town for a single item you're looking for.

Sorting is just the creepiest cheapest 'solution' they could provide.

If you can at least sort by 'Name'... you could scroll past the things until you find the 'Group' of items you are looking for.

It still requires what should be seen as unnecessary effort on the user... but it is less effort.

The key here is that they already have a 'sorting' feature with selectable 'options' so they would just have to add a new 'Sort Type' to and existing 'Option Type', meaning they would not need to change the UI in any significant way.

Any new 'Search' operation means an input element needs to be added as well as a new 'Option Type' which means altering the existing UI... Really that 'should not be' a high cost either....

However, any UI changes to create new buttons, fields, or selection options usually requires much more 'Testing' and 'Validation' work than just adding new selection element to an already existing 'Option Type'.

I have not seem them do anything like that so far... but we did just see them make a pretty good improvement to 'Crafting' UIs simply by changing sorting and grouping operations to keep 'Ornate' and 'Intricate' items separated other items... that change alone significantly improved my crafting experiences.

+1. I don't play console, but when I lose AGS I just straight shut down the game.

There have been a couple addons that have provided features that later made it to the base game. Looking at you, Lootdrop and Combat Cloud. It would be great if ZOS would incorporate some of the functional search features of Awesome Guild Store into the base UI.

Even just a "hide known" option for the motifs, recipes, blueprints, etc would greatly reduce search time.

Yes. Why don't you like scrolling through 5, 6, 7, 8 pages on a tiny menu and when you click the wrong button you need to start again?
