    Stop what, the masqued "unicorn"?
All of this, senseless waste of human life.
Again, remember this beauty (homicidal beauty) from TES VI: Oblivion?
    No. Oblivion was TES:Fable.

I also don't remember, quite clearly, ANY horses in TESIII: Morrowind.

    'ken horses...

I hope you're talking about all those brightly coloured frost and fire looking mounts...a fairly plain horse wearing a metal horn seems quite tame in comparison.

It's not the horn that bothers me.
It's the awful anatomy of this "horse". A five-year-old could draw a more realistically proportioned horse, an eight-year-old could draw a better texture and a twelve-year-old maybe could mesh it better.
    It's just lazy design.

Unicorns were hunted to near extinction in TES, it would be EXTREMELY lore breaking to have them

There was one alive during oblivion and this game predates that one.

My general commentary on the subject...

From a Lore perspective, Unicorns are always hunted. They are adversaries for the hunt. It is apparently their only purpose. They are not good mounts, so it doesn't make any sense to be riding them around. This is akin to playing with your food. They aren't even native to Nirn, as far as I know. History confirms no instance where wild unicorns roamed the land. Any that are seen have been placed there, individually, for the purpose of hunting.

While it is not lore breaking for them to exist on Nirn, even in numbers, it would be highly unusual. They have no reason for being on Nirn, other than to be hunted. Having them as mounts would be more unusual, as they are apparently bred to be adversaries and attack those that threaten.

From a game perspective, they are hardly more lore breaking than the various atronach and undead mounts that are already in the game for no other purpose than monetization. If anything, it makes more sense to be riding around on killer unicorn mounts than it does to be riding around on some of the mounts we already have.

As for the monetization Bingo card, cute unicorns are no longer necessary. We already put the mark in that box with the Sparkle Horse and Companion. The bridge is already firmly crossed.

Lions and wolves wouldn't be allowed except maybe a bosmer could ride them.

Edit: so yes I would allow this horse-in-unicorn-barding but not the glitter horse.

You do realize that Senche-raht are a thing, yes?
    http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Senche-raht

Looks like they're ridden by khajit, which are also pretty small. Fact is, no carnivore (predator) is going to make a good beast of burden, their legs and feet aren't designed for it. I mentally grouped senche in with "lion" so I guess bosmer and small khajit could ride them.

The senche-raht, the battle cats, are ridden by Khajiit, yeah, who when last I looked at a khajiit in game, aren't that much smaller than the average human...

Senche-raht aren't the same as the senche mounts we have in game.

Look, I'm a science teacher. I'm really quite sympathetic to the biology/anatomy/physiology argument you are trying to make here, but if we are going to do that I'm going to have to call foul on Morrowind's giant fleas and those are definitely lore. So I try to live with the Artistic License: Biology.
It gets worse when you couple the fact that the rider takes fall damage on the back of beast that would clearly not have an issue absorbing the force of the landing for you.

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

Well, aren't you just a bundle of sunshine. :)

I would think that having a mount burst into flames whilst summoning it might be a bit more dangerous than a regular horse with unicorn tack.

Okay, so I was imagining the Unicorn in TES IV: Oblivion?

Between the Unicorn, Shadowmere, the Headless Horseman, and Arvak, I'm not sure where this idea that Elder Scrolls mounts have to be boring came from. After all, Skyrim horses could climb mountains.

I killed that unicorn for Hircine... no regrets :)

That unicorn was cool as, but annoying as hell. Getting attacked while riding? Get out your sword... no, wait, because then the damn unicorn will attack YOU. Stupid mechanic.

As far as this "unicorn" goes... it's still got the macrame mane... not to mention the wrong physiology.

Also, @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom please pass on to your design team... the whole point of a girth on a mount's saddle is to stop it from slipping toward the mount's hind quarters and tipping the rider off. Where they have placed this girth (and probably others) wouldn't stop this from happening. A quick Google search shows that the girth should be directly behind the horse's front legs (and probably the same for all 4 legged mounts).

And yes, I know this is nit-picky, but is it really that difficult to get right? Easier to fix than the back legs.
