Well, aren't you just a bundle of sunshine. :)

I would think that having a mount burst into flames whilst summoning it might be a bit more dangerous than a regular horse with unicorn tack.

Take another look at the Unicorn armor on its head again, if there were straps on the back of the Unicorn head then I would say yes that is a horse in a costume. And yes there is and take a look at the whole of the horn on the Unicorn head armor again.

    From this link:

    "Masqued "Unicorn" Steed"

Note the quotes around the word "unicorn"? Add the word "masqued".

Now, if this were truly a unicorn, neither of those would be needed.

    It's a steed wearing a "unicorn masque".

    Not. A. Unicorn.

    So there. :p

Boring and fitting into the setting are two different things. But those horses with braids that look like they've been fallen into a pot of make up or had several plastic surgeries are just awful.

Awful are the ones that look like they were killed, butchered, boiled, wrapped up and buried for a bit, exhumed, had tack stuck on them and hey presto! "Über cool mount"

IOW, to each their own and let those who enjoy dead things enjoy 'em and those who enjoy sparkles enjoy 'em.

There's one not thousands riding around Tamriel so I hope that true unicorn mounts never make it into the game.

Can take the same stance on vestiges. There's thousands of us. This is an MMO, what you are espousing works only in single player games.

No, there is only one Vestige. I dunno who you think you are.

I think this horse is as close as we will ever get to a real unicorn. No one could afford the Crowns required to buy it, anyway.
