Truly a representation of our times :'(thanks for the replys everyone! i decided to just be a healer. R.I.P. the magplar deeps dream lol
I'm running 2 Zaan 5 Mechanical 5 Moondancer and pulling pretty nice dps
I don't do serious raids so it's all good for me, but if you want to raid then leave magplar alone

Templars are Knights of the holy ...
Radiant destruction and the other morph harness the light of the holy to do damage
You know what ... I've no idea ... Just go with it
While it is true that Dragon Bones is a improvement for Magplars they are still very weak in PvE and suffer from bugs. You can for sure play them in PvE and get through most content, but what is the point? Just play Stamplar, do the exact same thing and have 50% more DPS. In PvP on the other hand they can be very potent.

This patch Magplars will most likely pass Stamplars in Melee Deeps

You can do any vet trials with a magicka templar, including hardmodes. Just don't use it if you're in hodor-like guilds running top #1 scores, and even then it may be doable compared to other magicka classes.
I don't get how everyone is focussing on pure dps numbers only and tell people magicka templar isn't welcome in veteran dungeons. If you're doing 43k single target that will be over 50-60k dps during trials considering you know the mechanics and don't die. Let alone that a magicka templar also got a very good AoE damage on mob pulls. That's stronger then 99% of the average playerbase and thus you'll be doing trial hardmodes along with it just fine. The mayority of trial groups have to improve theirselves on mechanics and try to avoid deaths, instead of 5k additional dps. Always been like that, too. Once you and your trial group have mastered a trial, then look at those last numbers and further group optimalization for those last percentages.

Stamplars do way more DPS in raids than Magplars.
Did some runs with both, Stamplar does about 4-8k more ST DPS than Magplars, even with support sets equipped
