The AD lead had already all but disappeared last night during prime time.

I expect it to be gone by the weekend.

You're probably right. Though Telel wonders why that might be....

    Oh, right. Mystery solved. o:)

All things being equal, the majority of campaign wins will go to whichever faction has the best population over the most hours. This is why DC has won the last several, and will likely continue to win most unless there is some sort of sea change to the present populations.

Speaking from experience, it takes significant coordinated dual faction effort during prime time to pull a faction that has the better off hours population off its pedestal.

Waaaaay back in the day Hijinx and No Mercy once spent a campaign coordinating to keep AD gated several hours a day after 6pm US time most days. Why? Because from about 6 am to Noon the entire map was yellow, all the way to the gates. Every day, without fail. We had to gate them to have a hope of winning. Welp, it worked, and AD ended up in third that campaign.

This disparity is one of many, many reasons that DiE became Red DiE which became Havoc back then.

DC doesn't currently enjoy as bad of a disparity that AD had waaay back in the day, so there's some chance, at least.

Especially considering that pound for pound against the better guilds of AD and EP, the DC guilds are just... not good. Fantasia and Venatus and Dracarys all enjoy significant skill gaps (in their favor) over the DC guilds. I have no doubt more casual guilds like Dominion Knights and Ruin enjoy significant win:loss ratios when fighting DC guilds. It's the zergs that'll get you.

OTH, hats off to Pugs of Daggerfall as easily the most improved of the DC guilds recently. Keep it up, guys.

    Anyways. I'm rambling.
