I havent been playing that long and I just found out theres items locked behind vet dungeons and trials im not interested in doing and I cant even buy it at guild traders.

Ive been doing the work to try to master all crafts in hopes of being able to get enough gold to buy the items I want from the content I do not want to bother with. Apparently there was a time when it wasnt bound on pick up.

Zos stop trying to force people to do things they dont want to do. No wonder theres posts about fake tanks/healers/dps.
Except I dont want to be a jerk and ruin other peoples time by bringing my pvp character into a vet dungeon. Im not wasting gold to respec CP and morphs to pve.

And Im sure people who dont like pvp dont want to be forced to go to cyrodill or BG just to get any significant amount of transmutation crystals.
I doubt master crafters like the economy being nerfed because of bound on pick up.

People can decide for themselves how and what they want to play, they dont need a nanny state to ram content down their throats that theyre not interested in.

Console player? Never played an MMORPG before? Thats the way every single one is unless they sell the gear in a cash shop. Like many, you can trade within the dungeons in ESO.

Nobody is forcing you to do the content except yourself. Why? You can do everything in the game without that gear. Many of the best sets are world drop. Some are even crafted. You WANT the gear. So YOU are forcing yourself to do the content. Not ZoS.

Crafter economy and BoP dungeon gear are completely separate. In this situation it doesnt even hurt them.

'Nanny state' lol... just lol. You are beyond amusing. Ill keep laughing for a while at this post. A new amusement high.

The change to BoP was made when people complained that players who earned enough gold could buy the good stuff instead of having to do the content themselves. Heaven forbid you have something I don't think you deserve!

For me it's just a pain in the rump - not being able to give away, trade or sell something that others want when I have no interest in it.

Nah, you can get gear in blue from normal mode to upgrade, which is best farmed with a 4 dps faceroll. Monster Helms show up in the golden vendor, and shoulders from chests, using keys you can get from normal pledges.

Also to people saying any dungeon or trial gear is BOE, you're just straight up incorrect. If you run a dungeon, everything is Bound the second the group trading timer hits zero. The only dungeon sets that appear as BOE are the gold jewels that show up in the golden vendor for AP/gold.

Remnants of when trials drop BOE gear are few and far between.

If you have no interest in PvE content, I have to wonder why you want their BiS gear so badly, since you evidently don't know how to use the gear you already have access to. You can rely on crafted sets in normal trials just fine as long as you're a skilled player.

If you are PvP you will depending on your build want some of the gear found in dungeons. The game is designed that way so we get to play more aspects of the game.

If that's what @LittlePinkDot is chasing, then they're entirely welcome to run the dungeons, just like PvEers need to complete their pilgrimage in Cyrodiil for Barrier, War Horn, Caltrops, and Vigor.

I agree, luckily I like PvP and PvE so no problem for me. Kind of fun taking a PvP group into a trial for their first run. Good thing is they are used to acting as a group and listening to lead so once they find out mechanics matter they settle in and do okay.

Someone may have already pointed this out, but if you make dungeon drops BoE then the queue pops would like get much longer as quite a number of people would just try and buy the stuff from auction houses and quit running dungeons.

If you aren't "Interested" in doing certain content in this game, then you have two very well thought out and balanced options before you -
    1. Don't do the content. Simple. Don't do it, don't get the rewards, and stay in your own tiny space of preferred content. Don't whine about your laziness as if it's some kind of large-scale problem for the entire game that brings down the whole community.
    2. Suck it up, like everyone else, and do content you dislike in order to get things you do like. If you dislike PvE content, make a single PvE character (Maybe a Healer for faster ques, or a DPS if you have a guild that is willing to drag your miserable selfish arse along.), and have them Farm all the gear in the content that is so terribly inconvenient for you, drop it in the bank, equip it on your PvP Standard Issues and get back to having "fun" doing what you "enjoy".

Instead of trying to force a fundamental change to make your life easier and reduce your grind, why not step down in the muck and get dirty with the rest of EVERYONE doing things you don't like so you can get back to the stuff you do like.

There are items you need to earn rather than buy.

Everything shouldn’t be open, some items should be reserved only to those who participate in actual content. Consider most of what you’re asking is new content added with updates or DLC

How bout they just make it the second you log in, you're CP capped, and have gold versions of every set in your bank... better?
That way you don't ever have to farm or buy mats/tempers... can we get you anything else master?

How bout a big fat NO, if you want gear, run the content, can't believe how entitled some ppl are... I bought the game.. but I don't really wanna really play by the rules set out.. gimme stuffs for doing nothing...

    I highly disagree with this.

Many people I random Q with ask for certain pieces. If they could just buy it, they wouldn't be in that Q. That would decrease player interaction in group participation content. Dungeons need to have a high value outcome. If that means making pieces in there BOP then it should stay as is. Some people have even found players/friends through random dungeons. I have helped many low levels as well.

If there were no such thing as BoP, then gold farmers and bots would be out of control (more than they already are) as everyone would just pay real money to buy gold to buy the items they want because they are too lazy to attempt end-game content.

That speaks very negatively about endgame content. If players dislike that activity enough to try and bypass it, maybe the content needs to be looked into. Its kind of ridiculous to have to run a dungeon 20+ times to get a set, in my opinion, especially using the dungeon finder and considering the random queue benefits, like a much shorter queue time. Vet gear can remain BoP but I dont see why normal dungeon sets gave to remain bop. Does anyone even still farm those?

BoP is fine, just like it's been fine in plenty of other MMOs I've seen & played over the last decade+.

And I say this as someone who doesn't dungeon/raid, and will therefore never get that BoP gear. It's fine.

Bot farming happens anyway. Artificial market manipulation with BoP items isnt healthy for any market. If you want to increase the value of master crafters, give them more than 3-4 sets worth crafting. Everything should be BoE quite simply. If people want to buy a given set with gold rather than run it a billion times, good for them. There is no reason that people should HAVE to run the much hated CoA 1 for BSW gear...this is a good way to get people bored with certain content. I personally would still farm 95% of the gear myself anyway, but give people an alternative if they dont want to grind away years of their life for no reason, let them run the content they enjoy. As an example, I don't often run vet trials, not because I am unable to do so, its because I cant stand the elitist attitude of the people who do so and the builds you are shoe-horned into just to get a spot, all for the express purpose of getting some specific piece of gear. So I am put into the position of running content with people I dislike just to get a given piece of gear I want for my build, having to play a build I don't enjoy to do so. Why? Because some elitist thinks I should have to spend days there farming(or longer) just because they did?

If normal dungeons gave significantly more experience I would find it more worth it to wait for a group. But as it is now I get more experience doing solo quests. I have one character thats into cp. But 3 others that are all under 50. An experience reward would get more lower level toons into normal dungeons.
