But really... this set isn't really any better or worse than the other basic sets. Its just personal preference for what you want to use.
He hits 40k on the dummy... but he does so using lover mundus and i think sunderflame? I don't remember the other set.
but he's maxing out his physical pen. to get a high number on the dummy. With a generic build like hundings/NMG + warrior mundus you can hit 35-38k on a dummy still.

Dummy numbers arent really going to help all the much. MA is a great set, but a dummy is NOT where it shines. If you want high numbers on a stam dummy parse, start by stacking pen. MA scales very well in a raid, especially with rolling warhorns, but if you are trying to explode a dummy, I would look elsewhere. Even on My mNB, (arguably one of the best classes to run the set), I cant beat a more traditional julianos/monster setup on a dummy with the newer meta front bar Mech Acuity paird with another damage set (BSW/Master architect, Etc). In trials, it's a different story.
This sort of reminds me of the old TBS meta. It was a similar scenario, but we didnt have dummies back then.

It depends on your current crit rate. The lower your base crit chance is, the more benefit you will see out of this set. The other issue with the set is knowing when and how to use it. Its a very short proc 5sec and a long 18s cooldown. You want to time the proc with a high damage skill. When everything lines up nicely you will be doing insane damage. If u are running a set like leviathon you wont see much of an increase but you are guaranteed 100% crit chance every 18sec because it does reliably proc especially if you are running multiple dots. People say its underpowered, but 5 seconds of 100% crit will boost your dps. A good solid rotation will help you get the most benefit from the proc.
Yes you want the set on your front bar with daggers to control the proc. You dont want to have dots running and proc the set while your on your buff bar. When u run a crit set whether it be toothrow which i dont recommend because it gives a major minor buff and limits what you can stack it with, leviathon which is preffered will stack with major and minor savagery or mechanical acuity u need to pump up your critical damage modifiers such as the shadow mundus, running trap or a different source of minor force. Sets like twilights remedy or archers mind..being a nightblade. This is a set that is meant for burst damage not sustained damage overtime. You pretty much kite do some damage proc the set and drop ultimate for 100% crit and if timed with a trap beast or another item set proc will do some significant damage. If we are doing sustained damage then leviathon will be more promising as you will have 80 crit chance 100% of the time. Test and tweak your build around the set you are utilizing and most of the time you will see success.
