2 skill points out of the maximum of 300 something.

But, yes, they should at least make the alternative choice a little more ... useful.

There's a reason why he's not called the Reasonable Reward Giving God.
    The clue's in the name...

Also you might have been a touch more considerate with the SPOILERS huh?

Are you daft? That's the entire point of the quest. Moral choice difficut to make by counter-mand reward. Are MMO players this shallow?

not really sure why you quoted that. i was pointing out that i had spoiler in the thread title.

but to answer your question, the endgame is pvp. there is no arguing that. skill points are far too important to pass up, which means there is no choice.

Point us to a 300 skill point spec that is actually reasonable (no maxing out every weapon line) that 2 skill points is a dealbreaker for PvP?

No the endgame is not PvP. The endgame for you may be PvP, but for many, many other players, it's something else. PvE, Adventure Zones, even advanced crafting. For some of us, especially the Elder Scrolls fans, the endgame is the entire game.

2 skill points out of 300 is 0.667%. Since you can have a maximum of 12 abilities slotted at any one time, those two skill points mean absolutely nothing to a skilled character builder.

See, this is where the Elder Scroll series differ from most other games. The decisions you have to make in the game reveal something about your character (or, if you're a good roleplayer, your character's character.) They are deliberately designed to make the choice difficult from a moral standpoint. Sometimes, that even involves "rewarding" the "bad" decision -- kind of like real life.

On the bright side, the fact that you are complaining about it indicates that you were at least tempted to do the "right" thing, meaning you're not 100% without empathy...

Just give her to him if you want the skill points so much. Sometimes you need to make tough choices in life.

If you save her she is just going to friendzone you anyway

Not getting those 2 points has no effect on you getting max skill points in the game.

    They are just bonus extras.

Pretty much. What's funny is that someone opened a ticket about it and the CS agent pretty much had no idea what they were talking about.

I chose the 2 skill points, but felt terrible about it. Up until then I have roleplayed the good guy in every choice i've made. Unfortunately being good or bad doesn't seem to have any effect on your character yet.

This choice pretty much broke the 4th wall for me, and that's my entire problem with it. It made me think out of character rather than in character. I had to take a step back and think rationally.. "okay, this is just a game" then of course went with the skillpoints.

If the reward was anything else, like 100,000 gold, i would havepassed it up and saved her.

The choice as it is breaks character too much.

I just started this quest and wanted to check out the results of each choice before I went any farther with the quest. I don't think I will use staff that one choice rewards you ever but I could use all the skill points I can get lol. My question is if I do choose to save the person does it change anything later on in the game, maybe I interact with npc again later down the road or once choice is made and quest finished either way that's the last interaction I will have with these npcs?
