If Sorc wasn't such an awful pet class and BGs weren't DLC content, this would make a lot more sense to me.The content doesn't become less valuable just because time has passed. Also none of the content is required or needed to be purchased as one bulk group, simply by them as you want/need what they offer you.
If you own no DLC then as bellatrixed mentioned try an ESO+ subscription, it's worth a lot more for those who have never purchased a DLC.
You can also wait for the DLC sales that normally come during their anniversaries, although those are not confirmed events or sales. Stack on this buying crowns during a Crown Sale and you'll apply double discounts.

Or maybe , just maybe ... It's a bundle deal still cheaper then we paid day one for each ?

Yea, I don't really like the lock-in aspect of a subscription, where I have to keep paying even if I only want to play the game 1 hour a week ;-) I try not to dedicate my time to just one game these days. Subscription is a bad deal, for me. I'd rather just purchase the content packs... But this pricing is a bit of an eye-popper. Going to pass for now and check if there is some sort of sale in the future.
It's just too much for me.

you don´t have to buy all at once
if you go eating in restaurant you don´t have to order the whole cart just to get your belly filled
buy what you need and a few months later you buy something else perhaps
it is up to you, your freedom to choose

It doesnt lock you in, you can go month to month and cancel at any time.

The truth has been spoken!!!! -slams wizards staff down-
I would blame that but I made it on PC with a keyboard. Just my normal typing faster than my brain can correctly translate what my hands should do. Read enough of my forums posts and you'll notice I do it all the time, I am just really bad for never going back and proof reading before I hit post. It's possible your autocorrect got you, too.
Everything wants to be predictive, these days ;-)
You can sub for an month or two, it let you do the quests in an zone, you can do the dungeons even farm them a bit for gearIf Sorc wasn't such an awful pet class and BGs weren't DLC content, this would make a lot more sense to me.The content doesn't become less valuable just because time has passed. Subscription isn't an option for me. I'm sure it's great for some people, but I'm not subscribing. It's too restrictive and forces you to bleed cash on something you only want to play super a little at times, simply to retain access to it.

If it's my choice to choose what DLC I buy, then it's my choice to choose what food I eat, and how much of the menu I buy.
I'd still react negatively if I looked at the menu and saw their Apple Pie costing $450. I'm not really commenting on how much I want to buy. I'm commenting on the cost of it. It seems a bit high, to me...
I think you're losing sight of the core issue/question/topic of the thread.
Why is my choice to buy all the DLC a problem? Buying it piece by piece doesn't make it any cheaper... It's still the same price. I just want to know why it's so bloody expensive when almost every other game I play lets you do a content access catch-up for $20-40.
I'm not going to invest in it if it's going to end up being a $110 content catch up when I can buy a WoW expansion for $50 that includes everything, or GW2 Path of Fire for $30, etc. etc.
