nMOL level restricted to 50 only?

So... I could be entirely mistaken here, but I was told by a group that everyone had to be level 50 to run nMOL trial, but I could have sworn I ran with under level 50 people before. But maybe they changed it or I'm mistaken. Anyway some answers would be awesome. I was removed from the group before I could find out for sure.

You can be any level for any normal trial.

Yeah, they probably wanted max level loot. Sorry. :(

Being ABLE to do it is one thing (it's fairly easy on normal) but honestly you shouldn't even bother.

Doing a trial under 160CP or level 50 is a waste of everybody's time as any decent loot is wasted and somebody else is really carrying you through.

Is it though? Everybody has to be 160CP+ to do a trial as far as I'm concerned.

Whether you can do it or not is irrelevant, you should be getting max level loot or don't bother coming.

To be clear many people run some of these dungeons for specific loot obviously. And Trading rewarded Loot from bosses or chests is VERY common especially if you don't need a certain piece or armor or weapons / jewelry.

ALL your loot would be your CP level, so if it would be under CP160 or worse yet under level 50 it's considered a waste and completely useless to your party members.

RNG is bad enough. Cutting loot potential by another 1/4 is what some groups are concerned with I'm sure. I've carried plenty of people, sub 50, to show dungeon mechanics, but I'm a Shield Tank and very patient and I let the group know right off the bat.

Now if it's a specific CP 160 farm group then that is different imo for the reasons stated earlier.

theyd rather not waste a spot on a below cp 160 whose loot would be useless to them

Guys, they didn't say they didn't WANT a lower level, they flat out told me people under level 50 could not enter trials. This is a lie.

I understand they want their level loot, but I prefer being told the truth then lied to.

1/12, but still, the point does stand.

Without seeing the conversation verbatim and the context around it, I could easily say that "under level 50 can't enter trials" means they "aren't allowed to come because it's a waste of space" due to the loot being lower than cp160.

Now, if they had said "under level 50 are unable to zone in and are locked out from the instance via in game mechanics" that's something else.

But that's not what you said.

I don't have a screenshot of the conversation, but they literally said people under level 50 cannot enter a normal trial. I asked if it was vet they were thinking of and they claimed that the restriction applies to both vet and normal.

They actually said 'can't enter the trial' not 'need to be capped for loot'

Why am I automatically marked WRONG by you people?

Could very well be a guild restriction. It's also possible they worded their intention poorly. Like I said, without seeing the conversation verbatim, it's impossible to tell. Even you saying "they literally said people under level 50 cannot enter a normal trial" could be taken to mean their own guild rules do not want people under level 50 entering a trial.

Your original question was answered that sub-50s can zone in but that it was pointless (aside from sightseeing) to do so.

And alternative explanations have been offered as to why they said sub-50s couldn't go which doesn't necessarily mean they all set out to lie to you. It seems you want folks to jump on your side and berate whoever these people are and raise pitchforks and torches.

You can either take it or leave it at this point, but you have your answers.

"You people"? What's that supposed to mean?

You can be any level to run nMOL. There is no in-game restriction. However, groups or guilds may have their own rules about this. Some people set a minimum level and CP amount to get stronger characters. Others set 160 CP as the minimum so that any gear you find and don't want is useful to the others in the group.

Threads like these are rather saddening to me. I apologize that you were lied to, OP. It wasn’t right, and hopefully you’ll find people who won’t lie to you like that again.

I don’t know why people treat new players like that, but it really does bother me when I stumble across it; or hear about it.

Probably because you just set a divide between players that run trials and yourself with that above statement. This then leads most of us baffled and confused as to why you'd rather defend your right to play end-game content below CP160 (which you're entitled to, of course), instead of merely taking a couple of evenings to get levelled and just play the game as intended and to everybody's benefit, especially your own as you get to use the gear you loot without having to throw it away on reaching max level.

With all due respect, taken from how you've reacted to the reasonable replies in this thread, perhaps whoever mislead you originally about the trial level requirements did so because they had a vague understanding of you how you might react negatively to the truth or lacked the energy to deal with drama or backlash?

My advice would be to just move on, spend a little while getting to CP160 and just shrug it off. Have fun, it's just a game.

    Edit: Tired. Missing words.
