since the last Update/Downgrade last Monday (still not clear, if I am happy or annoyed) we face some problems:
- the start of the game takes longer then before, until a button PLAY appears, I can go get me a coffee,
- till after the log-in and char chosen, all runs as usuall, takes long(I can go for another coffeee), but well, we got used to something up to now
- but then it happens, to me and many guildmates confirm this, with a nice ping, not too bad, perhaps a little better then before the last patch, BUT we face an awefull low FPS, which is quite annoying in pledges, PvP, trials, vMA aso. It doesn´t really matter when you do crafting, housing, overland content, without fighting(or you are just afk to get your next coffee)
- and barswamping in combat is most of the times something like: O Gosh, I pray that it switches, unfortunattely mostly not(here is the point were all the coffeee gets you heated and angry)
- and doors are not opening(time to get my next coffee)

me and my guildmates play EU-PC, primetime, and 80% have keyboards+mouse, others run other things, but we all face the same troubles!! (but we drink different blends of coffee)
any thoughts @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_KaiSchober

You can solve first problem by not using launcher. Try to use ESO64 file. It runs game immediately

I've noticed frame drops when dolmens start. If I'm moving, I actually freeze for a second...and I wasn't doing the dolmen, I was in town :/

Yupper.. DLC growing pains. Working as expected (unfortunately) during every new DLCs and events. I have other games on standby which I go to for the few weeks or so following each new DLC and chapter release until all the craziness are patched or fixed. This has been the poor standard for DLC/chapter release for ESO. Simply unacceptable.. I enjoy ESO, for the most part, when things are working better, of course. I just think ESO has become so expansive, with increasing new contents, that it probably becomes increasing difficult for the developers to fine tune or QC.

My biggest issues are the nightmare load screens and the Home Storage Crates problems the new DLC and Update have caused.

Lets take them one at a time. Nightmare Load Screen Issues

Prior to the new DLC and Update I had no problems with load screens traveling anywhere in the game. The exception was and has been for years Cyrodiil during prime time and depending on what campaign you were on. Now especially in Clockwork City and Vvanderfel anywhere from 45 sec to over a minute of load screens. Other areas have also been reported but I have not been to them to experience the issues.

Home Storage Issue of players losing their gear once placed in the storage containers after deleting the character who had the items. This is really annoying since ZOS was aware of the problem during PTS testing and still went live with no fix. What really takes the cake here is there is a thread on the forums about it and ZOS has completely remained silent with no comment.

I still fail to understand why ZOS puts out content that is clearly not ready to go live. If ZOS would of listened to the comments provided by players during the PTS testing and made appropriate fixes we would not be experiencing these problems now.

Anyways I am not going to deal with the load screen issue that has been going on now for four days. Going to take a break from this game until its ironed out. ZOS said something about some fixes in the next patch for Clockwork City and Vvanderfel which I am assuming will be Monday. Until then I am back to BDO where you don't have to put up with this crap.

I'm curious about the system your running or your internet connection, or your proximity to the servers. I'm not a techy but can these things affect the load screen times.

I ask because I'm not experiencing any of this, in fact I'd almost say that the load screen times have decreased. I have noticed however that when I'm at home in the city and I'm connected the load screens are noticeably shorter (very fast -
fiber optics internet connection) than when I connect to the vastly slower (old-school cable) internet connect at my cottage up north. I use the same gaming laptop at both locations.

What I've been noticing are invisible group members... and I mean completely invisible, not in the floor, not a floating v mark, no indication of where the player is at all, but he/she can see the rest of us fine. Then the member in question TP to player and runs back to us it seemed to fix the problem though.

the problem with the loading screens is oncosistent, that means, one evening you go through a nightmare and another evening you face nothing. As I play a lot with guildies, it is to say that we all face it, no point about your pc or internet connection, it comes and goes, and as some have proven it is just only depending on the way the server accept your datapackages, one day your are top, next day you are flop, most times anywhere inbetween.

with travel to player you can make your self visible again, but this also occurs when you are in dungeon, having tons of trash and then ppl dissappear, how shall I heal those ppl, I must guess where they are and hope they recieve the heals.

let´s hope someone reads it from @ZOS and takes it to the todo-list..............

My biggest issue is how bar swapping doesn't always work. if I'm mashing my 1 key and go to switch I have to make sure I'm not hitting another button and not in a attack animation to ensure a good weapon switch.

But really I'd like to just log in, can't do that atm.

    Some you missed

Nightblades skill is not working as intended
Stamina dps have risk of freezing character
    Housing storage disappearing items
Haunting curse going off too soon

But most annoying is load screens of death and bar swap pray.

yeah I think this might be the worst update this game has ever received.

the infamous lighting patch was expected because it made the game more server based to stop cheating, as a result it gameplay suffered.

however this update is just full of bugs and runs poorly for no reason.

also careful the mods keep moving any negative threads out of general discussion to keep the appearance that everything is fine.

I only seem to have a long load screen when first logging in. Doesn't seem too bad to me, I remember how long GTA 3/VC/SA took a long time to load up. ESO's opening load screen is nothing compared GTA,

My conclusion from your statements, is that ESO causes you to make a lot of coffee. Perhaps you could start up a coffee shop while you wait between loading screens?

In all seriousness, You cannot have a buggy game, then add an update to it and not expect it to be more buggy. Not fixing bugs causes all sorts of problems later. You cant add new stuff to a broken system and expect it to work. The more patches they add to this game without fixing the bugs, the more issues it will cause and the more severe the issues will be.

Eventually, the game will become unstable and considered to be in to bad of shape to fix or play. Since they are adding stuff every three months i dont expect this game to be playable in 2 or 3 years. It will be to unstable and to buggy to even do anything.

They must fix bugs in order to get any kind of longevity out of the game.

A DLC for the gamers, for convinience, for all of us, just to make us happy with whatever they can fix without having the pressure to bring as much new content as possible!
A DLC too take it easy, breath through and get the game to an new experience!

    Awesome idea!

I actually did a poll on this very idea. A DLC in which bug fixes were the focus. To generate more income they could have the graphics people work on new costumes, furnishings, motifs, and houses. You know, easy stuff to sell in the crown store to help generate income for the costs of the DLC.

I think half of the people polled or more said they rather have new content and not worry about the bugs that much...i wonder how they feel about that now? If your a steam PC EU player you have only been able to play about 50% of the time since servers went down to patch.

As a steam PC NA player, it doesnt matter how much new stuff they add to the game to me....if i cant even play the game. Nor do i want to deal with frustrating bugs constantly. Once the level of bugs reaches a point where its making the game more stressful than entertaining, its time to go play one of the tens of thousands of other games available to me.

Due these bugs I am unable to even do certain dungeons, even on normal it is a pain. Having good ping but the fps are low as nutsacks, combine it with the bar swap issue = hELLL. Last night I died a dozen of times, unnecessary because of it... Won’t be dungeon farming till these gets fixed. Gives me enough time to level up my alts tho and get dem level rewards.

And damn right, the loading screens takes so long, I had already 2 cups o’coffee by the time I got in. Geez.

But we don't have to be here, right? The most atrocious thing out of the long list is the storage coffer bug that was called out on the official PTS bug thread for Housing Storage (that ZOS created themselves for feedback). To ignore that all week has been astounding, but my guess is the Marketing/Crown store team that is running this ship put a gag order on Gina responding to that issue.
