There are numerous things which a character cannot do while on a mount, and the usual outcome is that the mount is automatically dismissed, leaving the character on foot.When you try to preview a furnishing formula/diagram while mounted, the guild trader interface is forcefully closed and you are dismounted. Fairly annoying.
I am not sure what update it started happening. Could be Clockwork city.
I never even thought of staying on my horse when shopping a guild kiosk. At speed 60, it is way too easy to over shoot approaching the vendor, then overshoot trying to correct that, then overshooting again trying to correct the correct....
