A while back I was on the forums complaining about the addons that give people advance notice about attacks. For me it is specifically snipe since I like to play my bow build. And, of course a lot of people got on the forum to say things like you can hear the bow way in advance, etc. etc.. So after a few hours of playing on the first day of those addons being gone guess what? Not a single person dodge rolled out of that first attack. I am so happy. I just hope it stays like this. And, to all the people talking about how easy it is to avoid attacks without the addon, I guess you were wrong.

I have never used those addons but from what I have seen so far it appears so. Now will it stay that way I don't know.

I just recently found out about this addon, and tbh its heart breaking. I cant believe people actually used this *** for a competitive advantage, finding out that some of my friends who i thought were good players were using this *** really gave me a different view of them. This is a disgusting display of sportsmanship and i cant believe how long it went on.

PC has always been about add-ons giving better advantages, not all as bad as what this one did but there is A LOT of information an add-on can show you which the game doesn't on it's core UI.

I would say there is a small chance of this happening, but I highly doubt it. The information from the API that made Miat's work in the first place is literally impossible to access now.

This is why I avoid PVP. Because no matter what, add-ons or glitches or anything that's exploitable or broken - PVPers will do whatever it takes to win, unfair or not.

I mean, I'm all about sportsmanship and stuff, but at some point every other player is pretty much using it, so you might as well put yourself on even footing. That's why Miat created it in the first place. There were already private addons that did the same thing. He wanted to draw attention to the problem and take away the advantage those people had.

I suspect Miat has been given a hands-off warning by ZoS since he stated this; "At this moment i won't do anything besides fixing mouseovers and, consequently, database entries.

No, I think he’s just tired of an extremely ungrateful, rude, and insulting player base demonizing him, while nearly all of them install and use his add-on.

Of course we could always just ask @Dorrino . If you’re not a complete jerk to him, he’s a cool guy who usually answers questions.

That said I’m personally glad the add-on’s notifications are gone, but it still has a lot of neat features for PVP that make it more than worth it. Personally I like the Alliance “Zerg counter” and the radius proximity to a camp.

I think I might be one of the few players that actually refused to install the add-on while I was pointing out it's negative benefits.

The keep icon feature should be added to console to help players trying to go through that terrible UI map interface on the controller.
