Maybe just you, I still get the "major gallop" buff and increased speed.

That's super weird. I see the buff is active, but it appears that I am riding at exactly the same speed.

For some reason i am getting the buff when a player close to me uses it even though i am not grouped with that player, i might be wrong but i am pretty sure it never used to be like that.

Actually it used to be exactly like that back in the days, until they changed most buffs to be group only. I recall many people trolling the cities, casting rapids on random people making them glow funny. Ah, 'member.

So I wasn't dreaming, I got Rapid from somebody else in Deshaan too, and I wasn't in a group. Is it intended or not is the question !

Hm, it seems like I do indeed get speed bonus, but a lot smaller than before the update.
The visual effect when sprinting is gone too.

Hope it works in Cyro when i follow a zerg, then i can leech off other people's Rapid/Retreating Maneuvers and won't need to slot my own

Glad that it's not only me. When riding I don't get the speed buff as before the update. I can even see the 'lines' for a brief moment when mounted and then they are gone.

That's great if they reverted the change to the ability so it can be applied by other player.
I don't care if I get the buff if other player is using it.
It is extremely helpful in Cyrodiil.

A bug? No, it's a feature. Soon you will have to visit a Rapid Manoeuvre station and pay 12.000 gold or 500 crowns for a 20 second buff.

So it appears they may have accidentally 'reverted' a previous change... funny how that happens. I remember the 'falling to death' when leaving Wailing Prison... they fixed it numerous times and each time they had an update it reverted it back so people were once again falling to their deaths. Seems ZOS cannot add things without breaking several other things they previously fixed at the same time. *sigh*
