Opening character stats minimizes chat after patch?

Is this a new thing after DLC? I don't remember having this before. It is very annoying...I used to open character stats window to view and click item links on chat window but it minimizes each time now...
Can we have a toggle at least..?

Yup, but it acts as if there is something that would appear there.
