Hmm, let me think - NO!

I for one will spend some crowns IF - and ONLY if - I feel I am getting a fair deal from it. What they are charging on the outfitting system is NOT anywhere near fair for what one is getting in return.

ZOS should apologize and revert the level back to what ever it was before the xp bug. and give free crown crates as an apology

. it was their fault and they should own up to it. its a open world game and a player should be able to do what ever the game lets them do.

In the entire 4 year history of ESO, have they ever done a rollback? I have been here since PC beta and cannot remember a single rollback. I have seen weird things happen in Cyrodiil where I seemed to lose brief bits of progress, but that struck me as the server being overloaded, not a purposeful undo of player progress. I cannot recall a single rollback done, by design, by the ZOS team.

Don't forget the Coldharbour house that showed up in the crown store when the servers first came up that some people bought for like 1 Crown.

Suppose another slap on the wrists for the exploiters who accidentally farmed IC for hours and +1K CP, suspended for 3 days again or some dirt?.

It is not like you can minus the CP's from that account on an account basis after all.

I have not even logged on yet, my client was still patching when I came back to a message saying it was down again... Good thing I guess, I didn't have the temptation to exploit but when they make mistake like this, is it really the players fault who take advantage of the situation?

yes there was roll back when game came out and there was a guild bank glitch
(that to this day I still don't know what or how)
but know it's the reason you can't stack in guild bank

That's not the same thing at all. This is the right way to handle the (admittedly terrible) situation. A rollback would delete everything that happened today. Everything. All trade, all progress, all customizations... all of it. Taking the servers offline to implement a hotfix and sort out who needs spanking is precisely what they should do.

It's definatly not the players fault that they don't test things properly before they implement it on live servers. Instead of this always happening, they could put the final patch on PTS to be tested for at least a day or two before it goes live.. I'm sure there are SOME honest players on there that actually report things like this so they can be fixed..
But instead they change alot of things after the latest PTS iteration before it goes live, and if lucky those last changes might even be checked out briefly on their internal test server before pushed to live.. More likely they just compile it and if there's no major errors they figure its good to go..
I wonder who taught them that's they way they should handle patches, probably someone clever, like Donald Trump...

My guess on this xp bug is that they added a little modifier formula to xp gain based on what zone you're in etc.. Regular modifier would be 1x(no change) for most stuff, and "abused" places like skyreach would have a modifier that gives less exp, and in harder places the exp would be better.. Problem is that when a developer that failed 1st grade algebra at the age of 7 wrote those simple three lines of code put it into the patch last minute and never tested it before it went live and didnt notice he wrote the modifiers with 100 for 100% instead of 1 for 100% for a multiplicative modifier, things got very wrong...

I checked preview on that "house" on NA server while EU was down.. Its not a house, its a flat piece of ground with coldharbor theme.. Some rocks around the edges and a flat square slabbed area in the center.. No buildings, no trees, no nothing LOL
It is only worth 1 crown..

People do not seem to know the definition of explouting i think people are confusing hacking and exploiting. Hacking is using a 3rd party program to gain a new qdvantage while exploiting is:

"In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, or speed, etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers."

That is the definitionof video game exploiting. The very definition is taking advantage of a bug the game developers accidentally added. And just as if i forget my debt card in a public place you are not allowed by law to spend the money on it you are legally bound to the ToS that prohibits exploiting of their system. I have read every ToS of every online game i have ever played and none of them allow exploiting. Just because you can does not mean ypu shpuld or are allowed to.

They have gone nuclear as of late against exploiters. Especially those that cause lasting effects. The CE users were pretty bad at the time, but caused no lasting issues to the economy or otherwise.

Now I am fine with the costs generally. OS is decently cheap and since it can be customised on the fly its fine. But we bought the game, same as NA players, we should have access to it or at least given something small in return.

-No idea about EU, but I am guessing the server didnt burn down.
-There is always outrage. You dont need to use crowns, you can change your costume with gold. News Flash, this game NEEDS more gold sinks.
-I think they look fine, but wish they held more. Also, they gave you 3 ways to get these, so no need to complain.
-Huge exploit is an over statement. Compare it to the people that farmed thousands of mats with the survey bug, or the grand overlords that LITERALLY made 100 million gold in 3 hours with the Scroll bug, and a few people getting some XP sounds pretty silly. I couldn't care less about XP exploiting if I am being perfectly honest. It will have zero impact on me or the economy.

If you think this is the worst reception ever, you havent been around long or you arent paying much attention. They identified a clear bug, and took quick action. Some might even argue that they handled this really well. Most people haven't even had time to get home from work yet...
