No...just no. Sorry for your inability or willingness to play the game - you shouldn't have gotten a job, married, or a kid.

lmao, divorce wife, abandon child and quit job to play ESO. Yep.

But seriously OP I agree with you that some things should be shared. Maybe not titles or all skill lines, but definitely the Mages Guild lorebook grind needs to end. Collecting those books on every magicka character is the worst, it's so boring and tedious and there is no other way to level mages guild except for very slow quests :(( not particularly fun the first time, and it gets subsequently worse each time!

That post is almost a year old

I thought k once you reach max CP and have completed the story across all three faction zones then any new character you create you get an option to link it or play again

Play again you character starts fresh

Linked and all the achievements, all stats are linked so you can earn achievements on multiple characters. But most importantly you play through all the overland content on hard mode

I kind of agree with OP after all some games do offer a new game+, but I wouldn't want to see a crown store option to pay x amount and max everything. Just no.

However, having played causally since beta I'm just over the 70% mark for over all completion and use my main for everything. So having put the time in I would like to have the option to choose what carries over on my alts. If I have maxed out a weapon or crafting skill I would appreciate the option to carry it over especially now that I'm focusing more on endgame content. Would not want to have new class skills option unless I had already maxed those on another toon. I don't believe you can learn to play the class or rotation properly without putting in the work that would be zero enjoyment and a guaranteed kick.

Of course, I understand the need for a gold/time sink. Players need something to do between content drops especially since a lot of people play multiple games at the same time. A bored player is not good for maintaining a strong player base, but neither is play to win for players that put in the time and effort to reach their current levels.

This has been discussed many, many times, at length.

Some people want the game to treat all their characters as the same character, so they have to play everything just once, and then can enjoy as many alts as they want with everything done without having to actually play the game to earn it again.

ESO already has more account-wide stuff then -any- other MMORPG I ever played, from bank, mail, guilds, dyes, and the whole friggin champion points alternate advancement system... yet the "gimme crowd" still asks for more...
(...and if they ever got it, most likely would then leave the game, whining about here being "nothing to do")
