    Shared stats/items:

    Inventory space
    Mount stats
    Skill points
    Skill lines (weapon/class/guild)
    Titles

    What do you all think?

    1. There must be a poll with multiple options.
    2. Inventory - not, it's too personal. And pretty cheap way to make a mules.
    Mount skills rank - yes
Skill points - not, it's way too personal and pretty easy way to make alts.
Skyshards - arguable, because it's only would give a 'free' 130+ skillpoints to the any new character created.
Guilds rank(!) - yes. Guilds are: Fighters, Mages, Undaunted, Thieves, Dark Brotherhood
    Allianse War rank - yes
This is about ranks only, not skills rank and/or progression!
    Lorebooks - yes
Class/weapon/armor ranks and skills - not, it's too personal and pretty easy way to make alts
Titles - yes. Was pretty sure that it is account wide, the same as another achievement rewards.
Crafting ranks - not, this is too easy way to make hireling or daily writ mules.

Things all chars on one account should share, without mentioning stuff they share already
    • Readable and count - to - progression lorebooks, if placed inside houses player own.
    • Crown purchased motifs. Really no point in not having them on all your characters, even future ones must "know" that real money spent motif upon creation.
    • Mount upgrades. If not, give us way to train mounts twice per day, if we have already at least one character with 60/60/60 done. Or make it a daily quest, something like writ to craft a beverage/food for our mounts. Among hundreds of completely useless recipes, this one would be pure gold.
    • Alliance Points. Why can't my Orsimer buy stuff with points I got on my Nord/Dunmer?Khajiit?Saxhleel, etc? It's stupid limitation, completely absolete and forces you to log on other characters just to buy stuff. Same would be if gold was character bound, I mean, its really one of these WTF moments Zos gave us.

OP, I think you meant to say "things you want hit characters to share".

It's a little over the top to think that someone rolls a new character and already has 350 SP. would be great in PvP. Really pawn new players even more.

I can also tell you titles are one of the last things that should be shared. Someone should not have Dro Mathra Destroyers on their tank that's never cleared the content nor flawless on characters that have not met the objectives for the title. Same can be said for the Emperor title and more.

No...just no. Sorry for your inability or willingness to play the game - you shouldn't have gotten a job, married, or a kid.

Yes, how dare someone have a life outside of a game! No, I don't want everything shared but that ^^ reasoning is incredibly juvenile.
    May all beings have happiness
May they be free from suffering
May they find the joy that has never known suffering
May they be free from attachment and hatred

I think less things should be shared between characters. Such as CP, this should be character based. Im not making a joke or anything right now.

That said, mount training should just be removed and the applicable stats just added to mounts by default. Im sure people are willing to eat the 'lost cost' of their training if it meant doing away with having to train mounts entirely.

I also wouldnt actually mind if skyshards were account shared. Something about it just feels... correct.

I agree with titles, dyes, achievements, inventory space and riding level

    i really do

but skill line unlocks? skill points?

thats crossing the line. whats the point in creating a new character. in fact, it sounds like you want a bunch of max level premade templates so you can just skip to end game with your new character.

the audacity of some people. that a thread would actually be created for this kind of discussion. . .

I imagine a level one character with Boethiah's Scythe or Flawless Conqueror titles...

So ? I believe the player behind the characters did the work not the character him/herself, that would just be very strange !

I have a kitty NB healer. I'm proud of my Boethiah's Scythe title with him -- I acquired it with him, not with my Templar healer, or my DK tank. You see the difference? It means I played enough good with him to have the title. That, it's precious for me because some people need proofs from me to be convinced I can do the job, even with a stamina race, even with another class than Templar...
@Griffe perfectly reasonable, which is why those titles should not be transferrable, but perhaps an account wide option to show that you have achieved it on that one character.

This benefit situations where you bring a 'n00b' character into an instance and people offer up several hints or concerns. "Guys, I've probably been through this content more times than all of you combined. We'll be a'ight."

Titles involving things like the holiday event, novelty titles, if you will, like delivering X number loaves of bread during Tamriel's version of Ramadan, I would not take issue with. (Though I equally don't see the point, as they are novelty titles.)

    Lol yea xD

    Hey

This has probably been discussed before, but since I've not seen any posts on it I thought I'd start one.

I think more stuff/stats should be shared between characters.

    Background:

I've had imperial edition since launch, I pay for ESO+, I bought Morrowind, but I am a casual player - I have a job, a wife, a kid, so I only manage a few hours per week.

I levelled my main (DK) a long time ago with all the skill lines, skill points, etc etc. Of course I want to try new characters but I'm focussed on end-game having played all the content before over many many hours.

Ok so fine, I need to level a new character, but there are certain things that are so so darn annoying having to level when I've done it before and am only doing it to play end game pve and pvp. So I think these should be shared between characters, with all characters having the stats of the character with the highest. These include -

    Shared stats/items:

    Inventory space
    Mount stats
    Skill points
    Skill lines (weapon/class/guild)
    Titles

What do you all think? I'm sure we won't agree on everything but I think the game really punishes you once you complete it. It want to have a few different characters.

Limiting some of the above (mounts/inventory) is just an unfair money spinner for the crown store.

Inventory: Bank is shared, that is as far as it needs to go.
Mount: No, too much monetization there. Do the time, or spend the money.
Skill points: Never. These define the character and show progression.
Skill lines: Never. Same as above.
Titles: No. These should be specific to the character, not account. More than that, there may be some end game titles that should be cleared if the character is respecced using any Crown Class Change token that might come about.

Skyshards: No. Just go there and get the skyshard.

There is no reason for bags to be shared. You can get it fully upgraded in a few seconds. You might not like paying for it, but money sinks are important and inventory upgrades are a major money sink. All that gold we get killing things and vendoring items needs to go somewhere. If not, inflation. For me, my top 2 expenses for my account by far are inventory and horse upgrades.

No...just no. Sorry for you inability or willingness to play the game - you shouldn't have gotten a job, married, or kid.

Why should inventory and mount stats not be shared among characters. Increasing them isn't a fun, or interesting part of the game. It's a boring chore. What's the point in having to do it all again? It's got nothing to do with learning learning your character, it doesn't contribute anything to the pve or pvp environment - and clearly it is used to make money through crown store sales...that says it all

Skill points - yes fine, maybe asking for too much.

Only if all the stuff one character is carrying transfers over to the other character when you switch.

I mean, seriously? I started my new Warden and she's already at 100 slots just buying space with the silver she makes. And she's coming right along in Riding Skills as well.

Also, consider that some of us LIKE playing alts and rediscovering the world with a new character. And getting the titles all over again. If you don't like that, you can stick to one character and then you never have to worry about it.

I was hoping maybe things had changed and I hadn't discovered it yet. *sigh* I think training for our horse should be shared since we all ride the same horse and training for speed or carrying capacity is on the horse not the character. What I was looking for though and really want is for style motifs to be shared. I have a character I made shortly after launch who is primarily a crafter. I bought an ancient elf motif book with crowns I had to spend before I transferred to the Xbox and she learned it so she's the crafter. I've never found another one and it is now part of a big set on the crown store. I like ancient elf but would like to get rid of this character I don't play anymore. I don't think it is unreasonable to make styles be transferrable between characters even if they are not known by all. I lost all the recipes I knew when I ditched an early character because I really needed the slot. I don't miss the food as much as I would miss the ancient elf light armor.

    Agreed.

Personally, I'd rather get rid of shared champion points, bank slots (or at least most of them, I prefer the EQ2 style of the bank slots being part individual and part shared), and dye unlocks etc, but I recognise that the present account sharing and character specific balance is a reasonable one given the different opinions on it according to whether or not you want to play the game fully with all of your characters individually.

lmao, divorce wife, abandon child and quit job to play ESO. Yep.

But seriously OP I agree with you that some things should be shared. Maybe not titles or all skill lines, but definitely the Mages Guild lorebook grind needs to end. Collecting those books on every magicka character is the worst, it's so boring and tedious and there is no other way to level mages guild except for very slow quests :(( not particularly fun the first time, and it gets subsequently worse each time!

I'd like the ability to see what achievements I've accomplished over the life of my account, while still keeping the achievements character based. Like 'Master Angler' - achieved on xx/xx by character A, character B 25% achieved, or whatever.

I do think writ vouchers and AP should be bankable, as well as any crown exclusive purchases be account wide since it's bought with real money (mounts and costumes are, motifs should be as well).

Maybe, MAYBE, lorebooks IF they have been found on one character and then the set is purchased and placed in the home that another character has to visit and then read.

But titles, skill points, skyshards, entire skill lines? No. Those should be earned by the character. If it's a case of needing to prove to someone that you're indeed capable and aware of x, y, and z, then implementing my first point (ability to view all achievements accountwide and share/link them) should be satisfactory.

If you choose to, then you should have to because it is a different character.

I took the time to get plenty of skill points on my Templar a long time ago so that I could have every crafting skill on 1 character so I could do all my crafting on him. Never understood why anyone would want 3 different toons for crafting...

Yes, I completely agree about skills and achievements maybe on skyshards because the player has to do something hard to get the hard ones and the easy ones are just not that big a deal to go get. On the other hand I think all "quality of life" things should be account wide. Mount training is not a riding skill but a mount skill and anyone can ride my mount. My horse runs faster not me. My horse can carry more but if I want to I have to buy a backpack. If the dyes I unlock are applicable on all characters why not recipes or styles. I think all crafting knowledge should be at least transferrable between characters if not just available account wide. Some decisions to the contrary seem to me to be arbitrary.

Yes to skyshards mount stats lore books and titles..you could easily set a prerequisite to be lvl 50 to use a title to avoid lvl 1 using them..or maybe lvl 20 or 25

No to shared inventory. I think that is not good because it's not properly adjustable so you'd be scrolling through so much stuff to find what you want
