- Ebony Flask Inn Room: romantically decorated

- Mournoth Keep: former primary residence, now relegated to warehouse
- Exorcised Coven Cottage: current primary residence, perfect house for a Warden of High Rock

All but 1 of the staple and 2 classic.

The snugpog is sort of a telvanni mad god / huricane hit here kind of place
Autums gate is set up like a local furniture outlet.
The amaya lake lodge is empty in the main house, but has a decent yard in progress. currently it has a rooftop crafting lounge, mushroom waterslide and my solo trophy wall in the storage room. It's one of those things. I should finish, but I like hanging out it the part that's already done, so nothing ever gets done.
The vivec inn is fairly similar to the loading screen. I like it, so I did it.
The witches hut is apparently a luxury furniture dumping group. - that wasn't the plan, but ya know. stuff

Three are the free quest rooms, they are used mainly for storage.
Old Mistveil Manor is the primary. When housing first came out, each and every house was checked out carefully, and all but one of my characters felt right at home in this beautiful residence just outside of Riften, so it was an easy choice.
For the one character who didnt like Mistveil, I purchased his choice, the Cyrodiilic Jungle House. Hes lucky that hes my main, and for this reason I tend to spoil him- because if he had been one of my lesser played characters I most likely wouldve saved my gold by sticking him in the stable at Mistveil and telling him to just deal with it.
A couple of weeks ago, one of my newer characters won a lot of beautiful furniture at an auction, but it didnt fit the Mistveil decor. Picked up the Sister of the Sands and the stuff looks great in there. Hes been spending much of his time there lately making everything look 'just right'.
So, the total is 6 so far, but unless ZOS decides to raise the furniture limit on the houses (pretty please with moon sugar on top?

) it looks like I maybe in the market to purchase number 7 soon..

I own one, not counting Inn rooms, Mournoth Keep. I need to catch up on furnishings before i acquire more or i wont get around to ever get even half way through furnishing one. I have a long way to go.

Same as the rest of the game, entertainment. For me, it allows me to be creative and provides an entertaining gold sink since i make more than i need ( outside of housing). Really just a more casual form of grinding. No point in having money if you never spend it on anything, IMO.

And it gives a sense of progression and accomplishment in a game that is lacking in both.

I think of large houses as things for guilds and I really want more guild benefits for large houses.

i just started with housing - for now I have those 4 free locations, from which I am just using the Vivec penthouse. And I bought the Snugpod today, because it is conveniently located near the eldenroot tree, all crafting stations and drop off point nearby as well as a decent amount of guild traders. Unfortunately that location is experiencing really terrible lag.

My next one will most likely be the cyrodilic jungle house and later this year either the Amayala lake house in Vardenfell or Hunding's Palatial Hall in Stros M'Kai.

I am the proud owner of 3 very luxurious residences. The Forsaken Stronghold, Grand Topal Hideaway, and Linchal Grand Manor. All of which being relatively spacious, and quite posh. Special mentions to the island and manor, as they both are quite fitting for someone of impeccable taste.
