Do you receive hatewhispers when you are playing ESO? For both aspects of the game, pve and pvp.

If yes, in wich part of the game do you receive most of them?

Probably due to not PvPing, I guess. I do get a fair few whispers but they're due to some of my characters' names. Nothing hateful.

Yes, and exclusively in PvP. It's generally not a big deal, except for that one time someone tracked down my social media profiles and stuff. Even then, though, they were just rude and naughty jerks, they couldn't find anything associated with my real identity.

Not often, but the few times I have, it was always in PVP. Either a defeated enemy accusing me of cheating or using a certain skill, or getting taunted by someone who killed me.

Everytime im playing in my parents basement, my dad keeps whispering to my ear stuff like: "How is it, that your brother is ceo of multi billion dollar company and your greatest accomplishment is being some flawless conqueror?"
And when I answer: "Daddy! It's The flawless conqueror!", I won't get my weekly money for a month...

One player is famous for macro rage whispers. He just likes to take JABS at everyone that defeats him in Sotha.

Got it form a few people I’ve killed, once from a known hacker boasting about killing me.

Not too often; maybe once a week. Sometimes when it happens, I whisper the player back something non-hateful, we get to talking about our builds, and soon we become friends.

Only twice and both times for declining duels and both times at the Undaunted Enclave in Deshaan. I'm getting ready to travel into the pledge dungeon so, NO, I don't want to duel. Apparently, some people get salty when you decline.

When I try to respond, 90% of the time I’m already blocked. They like to dish it out but certainly can’t take it.

I manage to avoid hate whispers by ensuring, on a continual basis, that my level of PVP talent is below the level that would incite anger.

I do this for the betterment of the game

Stealing nodes, stealing chests while someone else is fighting the mob that's standing on top of it... that's just one thing I can think of off the top of my head.

The only whispers I get, however, are inquiries about items for sale on my guild traders.

Yes. Don't play much PvP, but I have gotten them there. Mostly people telling me to kill myself because I was too hard for them to kill. And in PvE, sometimes people (randoms, never guildmates) rage in dungeons.

I answer to my thread,

I received a lot of them these days. (I'm playing mostly pvp actually)

Many of hatewhispers I have come from players that i've killed in pvp (and then they often come back with more help for killing me and teabagging)

Fews hatewhispers I had recently (I'm taking screenshots and avoiding to answer much as possible, there is no way to discuss), I just take a screenshot and add it to a file called "kinds words" now.

-Someone whispered me for giving me a lesson for explaining how to play nightblde and how my playstyle is bad.

- You suck. (after he died in 1vs1 and came back with 5 players, followed by teabagging me)

- When they nerf that skill, how you gonna play? Back to drop pant for begging for a upgrade? (buff?)

- Son of Bi***

- L2p pve player

- These hide like a *** builds really need a nerf

In my humble opinion, it should be not possible at all to whisper others players from the opposite factions in pvp. And I don't want to be forced to play in offline mode because some players are not able to control their emotions. (I'm not perfect neither, and I'm also overwhelmed by my emotions, but i'm trying to change that and not being affected to much be it now, it's just supposed to be an entertainment andfun)

It's a game, sometimes we lose, sometimes we win, I know the game is frustrating with its severals issues, but we should be nice to each others. When we are rude to each others, we are just making this game less pleasant for everyone.

Rarely, and only if I've sniped several nodes from someone in Craglorn.

I don't grab nodes from people who are fighting, but I do use speed-running gear. If you can't beat me in a footrace, I'm happy to share my gear combo, but I'm not going to slow down or not take a node because you think you saw it first or some such. Likewise, I try not to get annoyed when someone else gets to a node before I do.

(I run Darkstride + Coward's Gear on a Breton Stam Sorc. No rapids, no streak, no horse because dismounting is too slow and the streak screen shake annoys me. I can run for days, but its not the fastest farming build out there, that's for sure.)

However, I will tell anyone who grabs a node or chest from me while I'm fighting a mob that you clearly have to fight in order to get to it that I think they are a jerk who should fight their own mobs.

I honestly don't think I have. I don't do much pvp and am pretty terrible at it when I do so I guess I don't generate much hate. Usually the only people that whisper me are low level guild mates asking me to come help with something.

i do farm a bunch in different zones...never though try to rush and beat other players to resource nodes or chests - although I do occasionally enjoy bringing some not so friendly aggro to other players

i mostly pvp...have 10 characters spread across all three factions on the same map...

love doing emotes over dead bodies...lot's of dancing and guffawing, also bow and honor a bunch...

rarely group or participate in zone chat...

don't use resource poisons or teabag other players...

win some 1v1's, lose some 1v1's...

All the time. Just last night I was rage whispered by a well known player because I played too defensively. Apparently I'm terrible after just returning to the game and not dying to a stam warden.

Edit: This was even after telling him is was a good player. So don't think it's even about ego, it goes far beyond that.
