    I want one hand and rune for magicka chars. Magicka NEEDS a dual wield option (because of not being able to use three armor sets with the current dependence on staves), and that would work nicely as a magic version of dual wield. Yes please, ZOS!

    DW bound magicka weapons would be good. The balance has shifted to stam builds so giving us this option would redress this. Plus it opens up the option of melee magicka playstyle without changing combat dramatically.

    Could be implemented as having absolutely no weapon at all, but making a Brass Knuckle / Caestus / Fistcuff Weapon would be more easier to implement & balance. And more realistic I guess.

    more support spells, and not just heal or weird scale damage skills like Combat Prayer or synergy skills. I mean real support spells. So maybe even a new role in group finder.

    - support auras ("auramancer"). Buf/debuf auras;
    - energy wall;
    - group absorption spells (tank can absorb group damage or damage of #x players);
    - magicka drain energy shields from healer (drain magicka at some rate, but hold as long as healer have resources, not a self cast). This would be nice for PUGs with fake tanks )

    and so on...

    They made frost staves for tanking specifically because it was too much work to make a whole new weapon skill line. I don't think were likely to ever see more weapon lines added.

    You could have passives for that. It is 100% doable, just would need some innovation.

    Spear and other pole-weapons such as Halberd

    Spear (and other pole-weapons) should be special, in that they could be wielded with a shield (straight up 1h & Shield Skill Line, no new content needed, and this would represent the limitations of using a pole-arm one handed rendering it not unique and comparable to any one-handed weapon) or with 2 hands (new weapon skill line, Pole-Arm). The actual items would be the same (a spear is a spear).

    Light attack would be a jab animation, heavy attack would be a lunge then swing animation.

    One unique skill could include a throwing skill (Stamina, an actual physical throw but with a Magicka morph), the ultima could involve a 10 metre radius mighty swing causing bleed damage after the initial hit.

    Passives could include blocking bonuses, extended melee range to 7 metres, physical penetration, etc.


    ...now, about Flails...

    Wand and Ward.
    Abjuration staff.
    TES-style on-hand spells.
    Totems.
    Spell books.
    Scrolls.

    There's no shortage of things that can act as the prop for magicka-based skills to fill any role (one handed or two).

    Sword and rune would be lore-wise. Instead of block with shield we could activate spellwall like in Skyrim, that absorb damage.

    wands, runes, books, ritual dagger, any focus object really.

    And of course bare hands. Though this would not need a crafted/dropped weapon, will not have stats as there is no object, I think a focus object is easiest. Problem though is a complete new weapon would needs to be added to lootdrops everywhere, differnt levels and crafting if it is to be on the same level as existing weapons. So a weapon line would be more then just skills in a skill line as it has an item attached. A bare hands skill line one does not need that and could be used alongside staves as in most animations you only hold it in one hand (all but block?) anyway. And the stats are still on the staff. But then we still only would be able to use staves.

    A new magicka weapon would be awesome. Or also some sort of weapon that can mix into magicka or stamina depending on which item you slot on your main or off-hand!

    One handed, make its stamina morphs supportive and magicka morphs deal damage, passives could shorten cast time etc.
    Reason being you have a hand available for casting.
    Pro is definitely that it wouldn't affect the current lootpool

    Watch Nords go to work with an axe and cold rune doing physical/ice damage.

    Yes please ! But we already need a whole bunch of more skill points to gather. With even more weapon skill lines they'd need to rebalance the whole skill points system.

    - Voice. Per Skyrim. You'd probably need to hold some small object in the hand (both to "trigger" the skill line and to differentiate from "unarmed"), but then basically cast stuff without the staff...again.

    Another possibility is to hold a one handed weapon and cast stuff with the voice but also smash stuff with the sword. So there is your hybrid fighting style.

    - Thrown weapon. Which you can take in a number of directions - from making it a close-range ranged alternative to the bow, to varying different weapons (darts, bombs, daggers, etc.) for different effects. Would require quite a bit of animation though.

    As a variation - Gambit, meaning melee staff on the front bar and thrown weapons on the back bar. Make skills on both stamina/magicka morphable (again - Gambit!) in order to give both player subtypes something to do...or, for a change, make an effective stam/mag hybrid!

    I hate the idea of holding an object in the spell hand. Just make the spell casting had glow similar to when you proc frags on a sorc. In the example of a magicka-tank this hand would create an ethereal shield...in the example of a DD it would just be a glow, and expanding on the idea it could be either Sword and Spell(ethereal shield), or Spell and Spell.

    I honestly think there should be different types of bows (and skill lines for each) too?:

    Short bows

    Medium Bows

    Longs Bows
    Norion Germain - Telvanni Wizard, Covenant Battle Mage, Mage's Guild Magister, Resident of Daggerfall Overlook, Lord of Tel Galen, Psijic Monk, Antiquarian, Breton Scholar, and Traveler.

    Not really.....there are more than enough skill points. You will never use all of them on any build that makes any sense.
